If they all played 82 games at this pace...

The " Slapface " Category

Alex Kovalev is on pace for a 59 points season ( 0.72 ppg)
Thomas Plekanec is on pace for a 34 points season (0.41)
Bouillon is on pace for a 11 points season ( hes currently -1)
Dandenault (gtfo seriously)
Ryan O'Byrne ( let's not go there)
Laraque (Expensive Fighter who doesn't Fight and always injured)

The " Injuries/Slightly disappointing " Category

Komisarek
Chris Higgins
S.Kostitsyn on pace for 44 points.
Roman Hamrlik on pace for 26 points +1
Andrei Kostitsyn is on pace for 52 points (0.63)
Chipchura ( isn't NHL Ready)
Maxwell (isn't NHL Ready)

The " Expected Results " Category

Tanguay is on pace for a 62 points season ( 0.76)
Koivu is on pace for a 63 points season (0.77)
Brisebois is currently on pace for a 24 points season ( +1)
Latendresse is currently on pace for 36 points ( Playing on 2nd, 3rd and 4th lines)

The " Sexy Category "

Robert " 3rd Center " Lang is on pace for a 63 points season ( 0.77)
Begin is on pace for a 22 points season ( His best since 2005)
Kostopoulos is on pace for a 24 points season (His best Career wise)
Lapierre is on pace for 27 points (4th liner)
Josh Georges on pace for 18 points +7

The " OMFG BOB GAINEY ROCK " Category

Andrei Markov is on pace for 64 points ( 0.79) currently tied for 1st for points +11 with an average ice time of 24 minutes per game.

i agree with all of those except skost. why would 45 pts be disappointing for a 2nd yr player exactly. those expecting 60+ should probably look at recent sophomore years from good rookies..

you forgot price btw

I'd probably push SKost and Hamrlik into the "Expected Results" category.

And Ben Maxwell has actually been very impressive to me, should be in the "kids are getting better" category for sure. For him to flirt with a point-per-game pace as a rookie pro in Hamilton and to even get some games in with the big club, that's already better than we should have had any right to expect.

umm Sergei is only on pace for 35 points. And have you watched him all season? He has been very disappointing.

well the op said 44 pts so i don't know. people in montreal always ask too much of their players and asking a young guy like skost to be consistently good is exactly the kind of pressure and demands some players hate to deal with. He's still learning the NHL game and how to be a pro, he will need time.

it's amazing how many times it has to be said...with each every rookie we bring up it's always the same old, same old..
