What an awesome job by LoFFen on your game thread!! Congrats.

Bruins fan here and anticipating a great game as usual when those two origional six teams clash this evening. Seems like Bruin/Ranger games are always matinee's.
I'm expecting a low scoring affair and a bit of rough stuff. Maybe Orr and Thornton will have a go of it. You guys are in quite a battle in your division for 1st place and I wish we helped you out when we played Jersey Thursday but unfortunately lost it in OT.

Anyway, enjoy the game folks and lets hope for no injuries as we both have already had our share of those.

LOL, actually, the Rangers have had basically almost no injury problems this year. The team has missed like 10 man games total. Gomez accounted for like 5 of those, but other than that, we've had no significant problems.

I'm making the trip up to Boston with about 8 other Ranger fans. I hope we don't get disappointed.

How do you guys feel about Betts, Sjostrom, and Korpikoski? Would you rather see other players fill their spots from Hartford, or have they been solid (for what they are) ?

I see. I don't mean to impose, I just don't get to see the Rangers play enough to get a good feel for their lineup. I know Betts brings a lot of intangibles; but the Sjostrom and Korpikoski I haven't heard/seen too much of. Who would you rather see? Is Dane Byers still in the picture, or did his chance come and go already?

Well, like you said, Betts fills his role as good as anyone could possibly expect. Sjostrom is a nice player with some speed who occasionally (very occasionally) brings offense to the 4th line. Korpikoski, IMO, could probably be doing better since he is usually playing with our top forwards. He's still really young though and although the offense isn't consistently there yet he has shown flashes. He also throws some hits and plays pretty solid defense.

So basically, out of those three Betts is the one who is really playing his role to the best extent. Sjo and Korpikoski are doing fine. They're not lighting anyone up with their play but they're not disasters either.

Cool thanks for the input. I had a brain-fart and confused 'latter' with 'former'. Now I get it...

I like the combination of grit and skill on your top two lines. Minus Lucic, the B's top 9 aren't terribly physical, for what it's worth. Wheeler's big but he doesn't play a physical game, really.
