A bizzare deal to say the least. On the one hand, TO does give up *alot*. On the other hand, Boston gives up the two best players. Thing is, this deal is simply too big to be anymore than a fantasy.

'bout sums it up for me.

The bottom line is, trades like this almost never happen anyway, not to mention with division rivals. Of course, the Bruins aint lookin to trade their franchise player anyways. And if by chance they did, they will be asking for the moon in the form of a young franchise player (like a Nash or JayBo) and then some, or an extremely high quality return of young potential stars (Horton + Weiss + ?? etc).

As a T.O fan I'de love to see a guy like Thornton here...However......

It's not gonna happen...Not from Boston! :lol

There is no way in hell the Bruins would let him go to a team in thier division who really only has a handful of good prospects in thier system. Not to mention the prospects the Leafs do have....they don't wanna trade! As far as giving up 1st rounders....well......The Leafs 1st round selections seldom work out anyways, but I'de like them to have a couple, sometime in my lifetime!!!
