If I could find a cheap Lang jersey on liquidation or something after the season, I'd definitely pick it up. I became a huge fan of his in the 50 games he was here. Honestly, this kind of thing couldn't have happened to a worse guy.

Does anyone else find it bitterly ironic (or just sad) that after enduring the Bonks and the Smolinskis of the world, we finally find a great center after Koivu and Plekanec and he gets badly injured halfway through the season?

I didn't think Bonk was too bad, I liked the guy, he just didn't fit with us. And I do find it sad too, yeah,

Lang, the guy who packed his stuff and drove over here asap the second he was traded. He showed up with a huge smile and performed to a top level. We will miss him...

In a perfect world this injury wouldn't have happened, we'd go 82-0 enroute to our 100th cup.

Lang quickly made himself one of my fav all time habs in my list of top 10. He might have been a short lived Hab, but he had leadership, talent and classy style. God Bless you Lang.

If I wasn't aware of Lang's injury, I would think I was reading a Eulogy.

If I can find his jersey for under $100.. I'll buy it in a heartbeat. I never liked Lang before.. but in his short time here, I came to love how proud he was to wear our jersey.

I seriously hope him a speedy recovery so we can re-sign him next year.

I would, I was considering it for a while and I still am. I've been so happy with him this year.

Best of luck to Lang, a classy guy who has a big heart and easy smile, that smile was a beauty to watch on the ice. We need more guys like him, guys who love to play for this team and the fans. I remember hearing the guy drove all the way to Montreal when he heard he was traded, now that speaks volume about the character of Lang.

I hope the guys rally behind this like they did in 93 for Savard.

I wasn't happy when Bob made the move to get Lang. But he surpassed my expectations by a mile.

Hopefully we resign him cheap next year. He always brought a huge smile to the rink, had a positive attitude and was a great leader. If everyone had the attitude you did, and worked as hard, we'd be at the top of the league no doubt. God bless ya Langer. Hope to see you in the Bleu, Blanc et Rouge soon.

Sucks to hear this.... hopefully its not the end of his career.

I still love how he said his name was pronounced "Long" in his native Czech Republic, but just kinda gave up when everyone pronouced it "Lang" in North America. Of course, the spelling threw most of us off

Pointless thread I know, sigh.
He's not dead, he's injured, get a grip. The guy is making millions of dollars playing a game for a living and you sound like we lost the Pope.

Lets keep things in perspective.

Fans of 29 other teams might consider that a slightly imperfect world.

RDS would still be complaining about the captain.
