Eathquake In Nj!

At 11pm a 2.9 to 3.5 magnitude Earthquake was reported in Morris Town, NJ

The quake lasted a few moments, with little damage reported thus far.

It happens, even around here (there was a baby earthquake centered in Long Island City--part of Queens--back in Oct 2001) and 125th street in Manhattan actually has a (very old) fault line running the length of it.

I remember we had one back in 91'
It started in Up State NY, for some reason these quakes travel further in the East that they do in the West.

I did not feel anything in SI.

It was actually pretty freaky. We thought our 30+ year old steam boiler was exploding or something... that's how badly the house shook.

We had one in Chicago last year, woke me up. About the same on the Richter.

Since we're off-topic anyways, I have heard that there is quite an active fault line along the St. Lawrence, so it's not like only the west gets them. Speaking as a Canadian, Vancouver is totally due for something very big in the future, but it probably won't be before the Canucks win the Cup, so I would not want anyone out there to worry any time soon!

Was awake at that time and didn't feel crap and I live in Morristown.

Im pretty sure RangerRob didn't either since he is a street over from me. Otherwise he would have called and been like wtf.
