Line rushes seen during morning skate:
Plekanec with Kovalev and Andrei Kostitsyn
Koivu with Higgins and D'Agostini
Lapierre with Sergei Kostitsyn and Pacioretty
Bégin with Kostopoulos and Henry
No Brisebois on the ice. Laraque and Dandenault, still spare parts for now it seems, ran a rush or two with Plekanec.
D pairings:
Markov-Komisarek
Gorges (playing tonight?)-Hamrlik
O'Byrne-Bouillon
From Habsinsideout....
Holy **** Carbo, GET KOVALEV AWAY FROM ANDREI KOSTITSYN
Good to see Gorges possibly back... also why hasn't Chipchura or anyone else from Hamilton been recalled?

mitchmagic is due to make the GDT today. I'll give him until noon (EST) to put something up. If not, this will be the official GDT. Thanks for stepping up otto bond.

Andrei and Kovalev.. same line again
I just hope it works this time, but I won't put much faith there. On the other hand Saku and Mat back together sounds like fun.

If Gorges comes back, he's a ****ing beast.
I'm wondering what did Carbo and Kovalev say to eachother.

Haha Carbo's favorite coaching tool - putting a defenseman on a forward line.
Anyone remember Niinimaa playing forward two years ago?
Well anyway at least the Pens won't have to bother checking the Kost/Pleks/Kovy line.

Wow, Gorges is back?
I thought for sure he'd be out for awhile. Interesting move by Carbo to put Henry on the wing. I figured we'd see Stewart called up.

Why not put Pacioretty back with Kovalev and Plek and try the Kost brothers with Lapierre?

lol...true, but atleast he's putting Henry on the 4th line, and not a scoring one.

Pitt dresses a couple of tough guys (Goddard, Female Buffalo). Carbo probably had a bad taste in his mouth after the weekend and figures we could use a tough guy for the dog days of the second half

Actually I think the Kosto/Begin/Henry line could be effective, I just think it's funny heh.

It has nothing to do with who he's with, it has all to do with work ethic. Plekanec has no drive either. Lets see if they can snap back into last year's performance.

I don't like seeing Gorges back already.
In my sports medicine class, if an athlete doesn't take at least one full week to recover such a hit, he will be much more vulnerable next time.

Well, Henry is at least listed as a"D/F".
Niniimaa was not.

Higs - Koivu - D'Agostini
AK - Lapierre - Sergei Kostitsyn

I would try Gros Bill and McPhee on defence with Darz filling all three forward spots.
