Lang showed up to play almost every night. Nobody on this team (other than Markov) was consistently producing night after night. I feel baldy for the guy because he looked re-energized with Montreal. He was smiling and happy to be out there. Oh well.

What's the projected recovery time? 6-8 weeks? Hopefully he is back before playoffs.

Have you really seen them play this year ? And the way they are playing now, they won't even make the playoffs.

Kovalev spoke with longtime friend Robert Lang after Lang returned home last night following Achilles tendon surgery. Kovy said that Lang got little sleep Sunday after the operation, constantly signing autographs for hospital staff.

Get well soon Langer!

Carbo said today that Lang should make a full recovery and will be able to play hockey again!

Yes I have seen them play this year, they have had some great streaks(like Early Dec to mid January) and some bad ones(like the last 2 weeks). Why should we assume that this is a slump we'll never break?

The goaltending needs to improve(Price needs his timing and technique back), and it will. The defense needs to stop boneheaded givewards(like Komi and Gorges), I'm not too worried about that, they have been steady most of the year.
The offense will return, Koivu and Higgins are finding their stride. Lang will be missed but we have more skill in the lineup than we did for most of our long hot streak.
