At least it's on your back. When I was at MCT, one of the Marines next to me got hit with about 15 brass on a rapid fire drill. The brass was so hot about half of them actually stuck to his face and neck and had to be plucked off by one of the combat instructors. He had some pretty nasty scars.

Needless to say, I keep my left shoulder high and have my collar tucked in when doing any drills of that sort.

M4 with the usual add-ons and optics: surefire, CCO, PEC-15.

But it generally just rots inside the vehicle since I'm the vehicle commander/gunner.
