4) Reitz looked better than I expected. Much better skater than I thought and did not look nervous.

5) Scott Gomez stays hot (6 points in the last 5 games).
Agree with 3, 4 and 5.

I didn't think Dubinsky looked comfortable on the wing, but give him some time, perhaps he'll come around.

And I agree with 1 also, but it's quite an indictment when we have to hope Zherdev is 'into the game'. Maybe everyone talking about how Adam Graves was 'into' every game inspired Zherdev...for one night, anyway.

He looked comfortable throwing the body, but not handling the puck and shooting.
No, you're not the only one. I thought that whole line was pretty useless last night. I'd be willing to give Dubi a few more looks on the wing, because ideally I think that's where he'll make his mark on this team. But last night he didn't do anything for me to feel good about.

Zherdev was ok, but Dubi and Drury did nothing. Dubi and Z even screwed up a 2-on-1 by converging in the right circle and not even getting a shot off.

I don't mind Dubinsky on the Wing at all but they need to add another top forward for the Gomez line by the deadline

then move Callahan between Korps and Ani.............the 4th line is staying the same for sure

Then Voros can finally sit on his arse............Dawes and Prucha are gondie real soon to get that winger plus a 2nd likely..........they will over pay for Guerin or Tkathcuk I bet

How do We Fix this mess is the title.

Vipernsx does a terrific job summarizing my argument as well as the Jewish boy's from Brooklyn (more interesting info, thank u Sting). Well I see. The next time someone says to me their life is dull and uninteresting, I'll laugh my ass off knowing that the reason why they said it is simply a byproduct of having grown up in a Jewish household in Brooklyn watching Woody Allen movies.

Duh, how can I have been so dumb as to not realize that.

Now, for Sting and the other guy, who might not find my argument so half-baked if you would simply go to that thread and read the last page which includes my argument and Sting's argument. And Vipernsx summarizes it very well. The only reason why Sting is making believe he hasn't read it is because he was caught making comments, which have no basis. Using your own words Sting. "You were trapped."

And Dedalus. I think I agree with your assumption. I also assume he has a lot of free time on his hands.

Most boring hockey game I have ever been to. Hands down. It could literally put you to sleep.

The whole defense first thing is great when you win. But if your gonna lose, lose 4-3 not 2-1 or 1-0.

Also they, as usual, they sat back the whole game. Why sit back like that when you can definitely outscore a team like that if you put the pressure on? This is a team you should be able to outgun. Heck, the Red Hot Islanders did it. How? High pressure forecheck.

Tom Renney's trap doesnt even work. The whole idea of a trap is to contain the opponent at center ice and force turnovers, creating offense of of them. Our trap, we let the guy skate right through it, into our zone.

what is there that you have seen recently or even prior to last night that leads you to believe this team is doing anything but spiraling down. are we getting better? or are we the same team weve been since october.

its time for a change.

im curious to hear the answer

I don't think we're spiraling down. I think we have a lot of young kids in the lineup who never really proved anything in the NHL. Callahan, Dubinsky, Dawes, Korpikoski, Anisimov as well as Zherdev must continue to play together for a long stretch of time at the NHL level before we start seeing results. It takes time to build rapport, confidence and chemistry. On the bright side, we're a fairly young team (especially if you take Naslund out of the lineup). So instead of thinking of it as spiraling down, I think of it more as we're finally getting into that rebuilding mode and seeing what we have. But I think it's important for any Ranger fan not to panic because the longer you keep a young nucleus of talented players together, working hard and developing, the better the team will start to become. IMO

There is only one player though who I feel deserves to be on a championship calliber team and that's Lundqvist. I'm not saying to trade "Hank" necessarily. But it's got to be tough playing every game, feeling like, you'll probably have to shut down the opponent to win. His team thus far has scored 133 goals. That's terrible.
At least someone like Luongo is getting a little more support than that (Not that I want to get into a goal tending comparing match).

I know what you've written here; that's what I responded to. In truth I neither know nor care about any prior tantrums you might have thrown.

*chuckles* Actually no. Try reading and you'll note I have not responded to your ridiculous first post. Rather, I have exploded the laughable idea - presented in your "rebuttal" - that if no one else is arguing with you, it must be because they agree with you.

And now I have finished with you. You may take my advice or not as you wish. All I'll say in closing is that if you don't wish to be insulted personally, you should refrain from offering posts about people. Stick to hockey. You'll be happier and thus less apt to whining.

"And now I have finished with you". Dam, you sound creepy. You come out of no where and GOD knows, you don't even know what you're talking about. AWW "presented in my rebuttal." Sophisticated Count Dracula.

Yea alright man. I'll have some of what you're having!! "You may take my advice or not as you wish." Stop sounding so dramatic, like a wise man's tale or something. lmao.

You wanna talk hockey. Lets talk hockey. You wanna talk about how to rebuild a team "I'm your huckleberry." Thus, I would most likely explOOOde with laughter and Joy. Happiness will fill thy air at your rebuttle of what it takes to to re build the Rangers.

Listen to how hilarious and over dramatized this sounds. Seriously you're good. You have me practically pissing my pants. Here we go.

" Rathor, I, have expoloded to the laughable idea." Oh, very wise beyond your years sir. Do your self a favor. Don't walk around talking like you write and lets not get all cinematic on the HF boards.

"I shall have u know Monsieur , that I have not whined nor thrown tanter ums." I am a gentleman of the HF Boards and have thus spoken on my behalf on what it takes to build a chOOOmpion shiip team, you see and that it does not specifically requiOR a top ten pick." lmao. Keep it coming. I can't stop

Thank you. I have had a faaaaIRLy rough day you see. And thanks for the hilAAAriOUS post.

Mr. Dedalus scary name too. Whats funny is, other than this thread have you read anything I said. If you did and didn't say anything. You knew I was right. Because it's basic hockey blab.
But geeez did you come out of left field. Very intellectual annunciation I must say.
