But clearly you can't blame Williams on that breakaway. What was he supposed to do? Not to shoot?


On a different note, Coyotes are on 4 game losing streak of their own. We'll be good sports and help them. I think they should put a backup goalie too and call few guys from AHL who never scored a single NHL goal.

i dunno.. i just think he should've put the puck on goal so it wouldn't have swung around the boards leading to that breakaway.. sorry.. the bitterness still hasn't gone away for me

It's easy to point to the disallowed goal or Babchuk's foolish pinch to recreate a doorstep goal he scored earlier in the year, but what was flat-out horrible all game long was the Canes getting owned on faceoffs.

Even Brind'Amour was terrible and now with him out, it doesn't get any easier. You can't effectively play a puck possession game with that kind of putrid effort on draws. I think they lost every single faceoff on the PK and won only 30% at ES. For a team that struggles to score on even terms that's a recipe for disaster.
