Anisimov

I am sorry but this guy just does not have what it takes to play in the NHL. I watched him play last night, and he was watching the play far to often, rather than skating hard like his line-mate Korpi. Everyone talks about his skill, but the couple games i've seen him play he just seems to slow and lacks any kind of acceleration and agility. Prucha would have been far more productive last night in that same spot. In my opinion i think this gives NY a guy to use as trade bait, because it is evident we need a lot of help, to have any kind of fighting chance. We need to get some guys that play the boards, if we cannot get a highly skilled guy. I say we look at losing Voros ASAP, he does not do much of anything other than be big out their. Antropov or Poni is much better. As was Hossa who we just dumped away. I know ppl may not think so, but Isbister is worth adding for the boards play. Hey adding Jagr would be nice, but we need to try and get guys that will make us stronger. That is the only way we can beat teams like Wash and Bos. U dont beat teams like this in a seven games series wihtout more players like this. Keep cally, Zherdev, Gomez, Dubi, Betts, sjo, Stall, Korpi, Mara and Lundy, the rest are highly tradeable.

You'll be surprised what he can do when he isn't playing in his first NHL game ever.

The funniest part of this post doesn't even concern Anisimov, it's the part about getting Isbister back for his work along the boards. Oy......

alright make ur comments, but i'll tell u, i have seen enough young guys to know talent. This guy is going nowhere and we will see in the long run. I just want this team to be better. About first games, i can pretty much think of every other ranger coming out of Hartford who made immediate impacts when playing in there first games.

Yes perhaps we should bring back Dominic Moore because he had 3 points in his first game.

Or perhaps John Tripp

This is the worst thread of all time on our board I think.

Honestly.

I think this would be the best time to trade him , before he becomes a bust, which he will be in my opinion. How many games do u have to watch Hall or Ozi to kno their crap. 2 years ago was are best team because we had guys who competed in the corners, and not tried to play like NJ every night, with little bursts of attack here and there in a defensive shell. If this guy is so good why did he get so little minutes after a few shifts.

Um, because it was his first NHL game? Dubinsky had exactly zero points in his first six game stint. Should of dealt him, too.

Dubinsky was pretty invisible when he got the 6 game call up last year, but he was just getting used to the NHL speed.

This is by far the dumbest post I have read since I've been on HF.

Grammar is your friend. And how is it Anisimov's fault that the team plays in a defensive shell? Blame Renney for that. Most rookies do not get a lot of ice time in their first NHL game.
