Problem With NHL Center Ice (Comcast - Mont. Co.)

Problem With NHL Center Ice (Comcast - Mont. Co.)

I'm checking to see if anyone else out there is experiencing problems with NHL Center Ice picture via Comcast cable in upper Montgomery County.

I've had the CI package since the start of this season. Starting one week ago, the picture on all CI channels (772-784) on my Comcast cable (low def), is either pixalated, choppy, or momentarily black, with the audio cutting off as well.


I called Comcast last Thursday evening. The caller suggested that since the problem was occurring on all four of my Comcast boxes, there was nothing wrong with Comcast's equipment and the problem must be with the signal being sent by In Demand Networks (NHL Center Ice). She e-mailed In Demand on my behalf and said they would reply to me ASAP.

Of course, nothing happened, and the picture is still bad. I called Comcast again last night and she had my reset the box, which did nothing. I was scheduled to have a technician at my house between 2 and 5 this afternoon. I took off work early to be home. The technician called about 3:45 and said one other customer was having the same problem "in my area", but he would have to reschedule the service - some other day - between 5 and 8pm so he could actually see a game with the pixalated picture. I have been rescheduled for
Monday evening.


Just wondering if anyone else out there is currently having the same problem.

Sounds like a Comcast hub in the neighborhood is having issues or perhaps the line to your house has just gotten old. I would suggest to them to check the digital signal to the house (esp. if its all 4 boxes).

Switch to Verizon!

Thanks for your reply, Kegger. Hopefully between now and Monday Comcast will have figured out to inspect the neighborhood "hub", since multiple customers are having the same problem.
