Zherdev is great.

Kostitsyn IMO will have a career similar to Kovalev.

Well I thought this poll would be a lot closer. People saying it's "not even close" or other HFboard typical ******** are smart. Still wondering the "what have you done for me lately" mentality went. A. Kostitsyn has been on fire lately, but I would take Zherdev for what he has accomplished so far this season. If Kost. can continue on his streak it may change the results after all.

Just want to let people know that Andrei has 18 goals, 5 more than Zherdev and only ten less points while playing 6 less games.

Andrei has 18 points in his last 18 games since december 27th and has 12 goals in that span and it's not like the habs have been dominant offensivly.

I think people should start giving some credit.

Kostitsyn's problem is he's very talented, but extremely incosistent.

He had 3 goals and 7 pts in the first 20 games of the year, but in the next 27 that he has played up to this point, he has 15 goals and 24 pts.

Hes a 35 35 70 pt player if he could get his act together.

Yes consistency is a big issue, but he's still young, only his second year, Zherdev struggled with it aswell(in his second year) and I remember people complaing about his ethic too.

Kostitsyn is a much more dirty player. Thus I go with Zherdev.

Zherdev plays for the NY Rangers with a sophomore center and a garbage slow hacker named Aaron Voros.

If they switched teams, Z leads MTL in scoring.

Andrei Kostitsyn plays with a terrible Tomas Plekanec and lazy Alex Kovalev who never passes the puck. Also the habs powerplay has been non existent. Our coach keeps changing lines constantly for any play to have chemistry with their teammates...good excuse, but I'm not buying it.

And Andrei will just hit a wall in his development? They are the same age, this is Zherdev's 4th season, this is Andrei's second nhl season.

Yes Zherdev is the better player right now, but I don't think this poll should be this lopsided. A lot of the people who voted and posted here probably haven't seen Andrei play aside from when the habs play their team.

Zherdev, but if this was a poll asking who is the better figure skating ballerina dancer, then it's Andrei by a billion light years to the power of infinity.

You are hilarious. Andrei is a far stronger and more physical player than Zherdev. I don't care what your hockey ignorance makes you believe.

Kostitsyn is much stronger and much more physical then Zherdev. Kostitsyn is far from soft.

Andrei has 81 hits in 47 games while zherdev has 27 hits in 52 games, this is the most ignorant post i've seen in a while

It's posts like this that convince me that half the people here who voted and posted have never seen Andrei play aside from Montreal plays their team.

His concussion at the beginning of the year says hi...

Pretty much any habs fan will tell you Andrei was playing with this concussion in the back of his head for the first month back from it.

Andrei Kostitsyn breaks out at the middle of last year and the bad 20 games you are listing was the abnomaly imo. (concussion)

He will ends up with about 30 goals this year and unless he gets injure next year also, look for a 40 goals season out of him.
_________

He's also much more physical than Zherdev.

Zherdev is the better passer though. But well, i wouldnt want Kostitsyn to pass... He could score from the blueline with his wrister frequently.
