In a pre-game interview with Mcguire on CKAC, Carbo said that the timing was good and that Halak played well against Toronto this season, so he might get the start on saturday, depending on Buffalo's game.

With yesterday's lost, I pretty sure Halak will get the start. Didn't hear it on RDS though. Did someone from RDS said this or is it CArbonneau himself who said it?

Yeah i hear you man, its frustrating seeing Andrei's talent not used to its full potential. I think he is at a point now where we need to start leaning on him to see what he can do when he is the "driving force" behind a line. That's the only way we will ever find out if he can reach the next level and become a true star. Im all for having him play with good players but i think he needs to be the guy who carries the puck and controls the pace and that cant happen when he is on a line with Kovy b/c he is the same type of player, who needs the puck to be effective.
Last year was good and all and gave Andrei alot of confidence but he needs more responsibility if we'll ever find out what type of player he can become. thats what i think anyways

Can't wait to see the Kostitsyn-Plekanec-Kovalev line do nothing once again. Better yet, they'll probably score a powerplay goal against the Leafs putrid PK which will lead to Carbo keeping them together for another couple games. I mean this actually makes me mad, I'll think to myself "Oh yeah sweet Habs game tonight" and then I think about this line and its like a kick in the balls. For **** sakes Carbo, use your brain.

It's about time they bring back Halak in net.

Price is really deceiving since he's back from his injury. The game he played before the All Star game and the All-Star games (youth and regulars) did not help his confidence neither.

Looking at his last year performances in the playoffs and his overall game this season, I would say that he is not NHL mentally ready.

I just hope the Habs are not burning him !

I don't think the problem with this team will be solved by line juggling. The chemistry that we saw develop last year is gone.

I'm a big Kovalev fan but his play is really disappointing me. I understand if he's playing with an undisclosed injury but if he's not he's got to be better because he is better than what we see right now.

If it is an attitude or work ethic issue I'm worried about next year because a part of me feels like the only way for the team to move forward is to let him walk away in the offseason. I really don't want to see that happen because IMO he can be a gamebreaker, especially around playoff time.

As for the game tonight... This is a must win IMO because it will set the pace for the upcoming road trip.

Go Habs Go!

Tsn Ice chips says Carbo was 90% sure Halak will get the call tonight following the game last night... not a huge surprise, hopefully Halak can be solid in the early going and allow us to take a lead

Somewhere inside of me...I hope we lose because I am convinced that if we lose tonight, something will be addressed within the team, something the team desperatly needs.

BG won't make a move until the team he wants to trade with is sure to be out of the playoffs, and a REAL fan never wishes his team a loss.
