Hopefully he's just in need of a good dentist and will be back soon. If his jaw is broken, he better get some tips from Teppo. The old man made a pretty quick return (6 games).

Teppo also had the all-star break to help him out.
Vanek's probably going to be missing games due to injury for the first time in his career. Luckily, this kind of injury is flukey and once he's over it, he'll be fine.
But we're going to need our secondary scoring to step up big time. Pominville/Hecht better start scoring, and hopefully Roy/Stafford/Connolly will continue theirs.

I'm guessing Paille will play now if Vanek misses time, this is a good opportunity for him to earn his spot in the lineup. I don't know how Connolly and Stafford will play now without Vanek, those three were really doing very well and losing Vanek may slow them down.
He's a hockey player, he won't miss anytime...If his face hurts a little he'll take an Advil and wear a cage. But if he can skake and shoot he better lace'em up.
I don't like that third line, but CMac should be playing with Roy instead of Kotalik. Patty seems a bit out of place on that line unless AlKo decides to start throwing the lumber out there as well.
I believe he came back from his concussion in last nights game against Albany, so I suppose he could possibly be brought up too, but I would rather see Zags at this point.

I like OS's lines a bit better. I think if you bring Zagrapan up, there's no way you put him on wing in his first NHL stint. Might he falter under the defensive pressures of being an NHL center? Quite possible. But I'm hardly anxious to take him out of position to accomodate him. If he's not going to play center, keep him down and bring up a winger. That's just my .02
