Around Fleury's draft it was Fleury by a mile, then a couple years later it was Lehtonen by a mile, now it's Fleury by a nose.

It's probably pretty close besides the injuries. I'll give Fleury the edge do to his accomplishments in the NHL but in terms of technic they are probably fairly even.

Untill Lehtonen does something it will always be Fleury unless he regresses badly, and Lehtonen gets better and stops getting injured.

Fleury due to his accomplishments (with a great team), but in terms of talent and play, they are not that far apart. Lehtonen keeps getting injured and doesn't show he can play an entire season at his max potential (yet), so my vote goes to fleury.

I think Lehtonen is the better of the two goalies. Hes just stuck on a team with barely any strong core of players.

Fleury had a phenomenal run in the playoffs, but was mediocre at best any other time through out his career behind one of the better teams in the league. Lehtonen has put up better numbers through out his short career then Fleury has. Now dont say that numbers dont show everything. It can't work both ways, osgood puts up bad numbers on a good team but he sucks....Fleury puts up crap numbers on a good team but hes great? I dont get it. The only thing Fleury has over Lehtonen is that so far he has been much much more durable.

Lehtonen is like DP to me. Good goalie on a crap team. Gets slaughtered night in and night out.

I'll take Lehtonen.

But MAF went to the cup finals!!!! Yeah, so did Cam Ward (who even won it) but I don't think anybody would take him over either of these guys... I'll take Lehtonen assuming he can play 60 games a season.

I wouldve picked Lehtonen, but his injuries kill his chances much more than Fleury's. I like Lehtonen better and think he is much more solid as a goalie, he just plays on a crap team. And Fleury does moderately average on a star studded, Stanley Cup playoffs team, but I went with Fleury just because of Lehtonen's injuries.

AAAAAAAAAAAAAANNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNDDDDDDD Debate over. Pens fans overrated pens players in this poll..So surprising.
Your goalie is the Chris Osgood of Pitsburgh. People saying Lehts is injurgy prone really needs to take a good hard look at MAF because neither one plays full seasons.

Must be awful frusterating to know that Fleury has a lower win/loss ratio while being on a penguins team that has made the playoffs the last 2 years and went to the cup finals the last year. LOL

LEHTONEN

I wonder if people realize Fleury has been getting shelled as bad as Lehtonen lately or worse... he has been having to stop 35-40ish shots a game for a month now. Fleury on his game is top 5 in the nhl. Just watch the finals from last year.

didn't see Lehtonen very often, so I would go with the guy I like, and know. Fleury for me.

Lethonen when healthy is a better goalie but he's rarely healthy . Because he's always on the IR i'll have to pick Fleury.
