Comeback Player of the year: Marleau/Elias/Kozlov

Who's the comeback player of the year?

Taken from the other thread, I felt it needed a poll.

EDIT: and by this I mean not someone who had their performance hindered, but someone who has changed their play for the better since last season, such as the players outlined.

A lot of people just don't understand the meaning of the award if they think any of these three players are going to win it. They are players who had bad seasons last year, and are having great seasons this year. The award goes to a player who missed most of the previous season due to injury/illness/unforeseen circumstance and is playing well this year.

Nobody said anything about the Masterton.

Voted other, for Jason Blake. On pace for 32 goals this year, up from 17. And if he continues his pace from december 4th (he had 3 goals in his first 22 games and 16 in the 27 games since then), he'll have 39.

Send a message via AIM to LAX attack*
Easily Marleau

His offense has doubled since last year.

Everyone discussed how awful he was, there were huge trade rumors swirling around him, he and the coach had a horrible relationship. And if I remember correctly, he was a huge softy in the playoffs. A great offensive presence, but soft.

Now look where he is.

The word comeback entails that they have come back from something that hindered their performance last year. Elias and Marleau just plain sucked. No one cares about Kozlov.

ok, edited the first post. No need to be contrary, just answer it the way I clearly meant it (from the players specified)

I'd say Gagne but he was injured so it's not really a comeback, this is just the way he plays when he's healthy.

Disagree. I've always understood it as the opposite.
