Looking at the possibilities, and trying to pick players that fit...

How about

Kopitar and Doughty or Johnson for Markov

LA wouldn't do it, but could something be added on the Habs side to make it balanced?

No way in hell that happens, sorry.

Doughty in a few years = Markov. Kopitar is a big 90 point centre.

Ek playing it safe. When we get Corey Locke back he'll probably say "As reported, Habs acquired AHL star Corey Locke. As it didn't cost them one of their top D, we can say Bob Gainey did a great job"

Yes, but Koivu can't play as much as Tanguay and Kovalchuk. I don't see them playing below 20 minutes.

I wouldnt take Gomez or Richards....hell I wouldnt want Gomez and Richards for Markov.
Just me but I don't think these two are class acts or big team changers.
