i dont know but i always wondered if you had a replica jersey that the nameplate and numbers were heated on, rather then sowed, if they could be kind of peeled off and replaced....

but as far as a nameplate, you can get them at the games.. there is a store on the concourse the customizes jerseys and they have them there..

i would try ebay.

though depending on where you live, there may be an embrodery shop near by that would be able to customize it for you. my friend's girlfriend did that for him for christmas. she got him a blank 3rd jersey and had them customize it with Coburn's name and number. looks great too. you would never know it wasnt from the NHL shop or whatever

I dont recall the name of the seller i purchased my Brayden Coburn name/number set from, however i could find by saturday for you. (i wasnt the one that made the purchase).

The one that i recieved is Liscensed by the NHL. it also comes with a patch to sew on the inside on the jersey which proves its authenticity. My kit cost 22.39 canadian.

When you have it sewn on, or if dare risk doing it yourself even the real (authentic) jerseys are first heated onto the jersey, then the edges are sewn. The kit comes with everything except the name bar (which is odd). if you bring it somewhere it should cost no more then 20 dollars to have professionally done.

Mine was ordered and is being done by the hockey team i work for, that may be why i was able to purchase such a kit.

I think they do a ****** job of customizing at the Flyers games.

And for some reason, thje 3rd jerseys material seems lighter than the normal jerseys. AND the numbers are really thin compared to the reglar jerseys.

Is that just how the alternates are or are they making them crappy at the games?

Are you talking about replicas or authentics? The replicas really are inferior... heck my replica thirds don't even have the arm numbers in the right place. Course... I got my jersey through NHL.com

The replicas they sell in Fan Gear? The jersey material is really thin and they numbers are wayyyy think and flimsy.

Has anybody bought one from somewhere other than Fan Gear? If so, are they made that way there too?

Link for how to do it yourself or take it to a dry cleaners as someone suggested in this thread- I've never done it either way myself

if you're going to do it yourself be super careful, I had one that was sewn and glued and I tore up the jersey a bit pulling up the glue.

If you're in the Philly area there's a guy over in Bensalem called Dan-El sports (or sporting goods). I've been taking my jerseys there for over 20yrs. Always does a nice job. Last time I was there was a year or two ago...On my #31 jersey I originally had my last name but never really felt good about it...so I took it to Dan-El, had him take the name plate off the back and put one with Pelle's name on it.
He charges so much for the back & shoulder numbers and then by the letter for the name. Might take a couple weeks for the jersey to come back but it'll be done right.

I bought a blank replica home jersey at Modell's on clearance for $50 during the off-season and took it to The Hockey Shed in Havertown to get it customized.

Mike Richards 18 with the C on it, it looks authentic, and it's BEAUTIFUL.

The only knock on it is the arm numbers are not perfect. One is an inch higher then the other, but I didn't notice it right away.

The customization cost me $50 and I got it back in a week. Anyone who is on my facebook, I'm wearing the jersey in my profile pic.

I'm thinking if I can get an away jersey on the cheap, I'll get Carter put on it.
