Yes he's only making 1.9 now but next year you think he will be under 3 million? He should have signed him when he was out for a month with his injury,I'm sure they had plenty of time to talk about an extension but no he didn't do that and now Komisarek would be stupid not to test the open market
OH come on, not testing the market is not being stupid. It just depends on where your priorities are. And my guess is that Komi's priority is to have a decent contract IN Montreal. Do you actually think that Joe Sakic is stupid? I could name you many more names who didn't test the market when they could've gotten maybe 1-2 mil more. Oh yeah, does that also make Markov stupid? Lecavalier stupid?

Halak definitely isn't going anywhere. For starters, as mentioned his value isn't to high right now, and goalie value across the league isn't high right now. When guys who were starting goalies at the beginning of the year are being traded for 7th round picks & being put on (and clearing) waivers, the demand for goalies isn't very high.

All I hear is Gainey answering the phone with 29 GM'S calling about Dandy or 3 teams willing to form a 3 team offer for Dandy.

Higgins or Plek more likely.. I am also starting to think Carbo's job might be at stake soon if they lose a couple more bad games.
