4-2 Caps

Betts(1)
Girardi(1)

Green (2)
Ovechkin (1)
Semin(1)

Green scores two quick goals in the first period, then the Rangers bounce back with two fluke goals. Finally, Ovechkin goes nuts, hits everybody and scores the game-winner. Semin hits the empty-net after nobody can get the puck off of Ovechkins stick.

I'm expecting a 2-0 loss.

How sad that I'm going into every game expecting to be shut out?

Frm Rangers Report:

"Update off practice: New lines, folks. Chris Drury, Ryan Callahan and Lauri Korpikoski; Nigel Dawes, Scott Gomez and Markus Naslund; Brandon Dubinsky, Nikolai Zherdev, Aaron Voros/Petr Prucha; and Fredrik Sjostrom, Blair Betts and Colton Orr."

Do you think he makes up the lines by tossing all the names in a hat and picking 3 at a time? (Excewpt for the 4th line of course).

So...do I wear my Prucha jersey or my Semin jersey?

I'm just hoping that Henrik makes some dirty saves on Ovenchkin and co. since I doubt we net more than 2.

Quick question...how reliable are the scalpers outside MSG? Any bad experiences.

Sorry guys, but im hopping we get KILLED on home ice tonight.

Lets face it ... we win these game and everything stays the way it is . Renney we be safe... no moves will be made.. yada yada yada ... and the mediocre train will keep on chugging along.

Time to make some changes... even if its just for the sake of making a change... something needs to happen!

3-1 Caps

Ovechkin scores two, Dawes with one for the Rangers.
Lundqvist with another strong, 30+ save game, but it's not enough.

12-1 loss.

The good news about this game is that besides Sunday and then March 9, every game the Rangers have coming up is highly winnable before a potential season-deciding home-and-home with Philly. If they can get even a point against the Caps, I think I'd sign up for that at this point

Beware of the classic, they show you 2 legit tickets, you pay and with slight of hand they deal from under their stack and you get 2 counterfeits..

I wouldn't risk it - a friend of mine one time was conned out of quite a sum of money on some counterfeit tickets. I know it's close to game time, but if you can try to hit the Day of Game window or even check StubHub for a last-ditch effort, it might be your best bet.

^^^ I don't know if MSG does this, but some places will hold some tickets until right before the game, and then they'll be available to buy

Maybe if someone takes out Green's knee, they'll have a decent chance at pulling this one off

(oh no! pessimism! but seriously this isn't the kind of bounce back opponent I'd prefer to see them playing)

Depends...when you fight do you flail your arms around and look like you are either beating a drum or look like the energizer bunny???

if yes then wear your Semin jersey.

if no, go with the Prucha jersey at least his spirit will live on even if he can't be on the ice

0-0 after 1 rangers playing perfect road game. i am fighting my eyelids.

1-0 after 2 ovechkin scoring on pp. watching the show 'how its made' because i really find the making of hersheys kisses more interesting than any renney coached team.

3-0 loss. empty netter for the 3rd plus we give up a shorty for goal 2- hey, were due. the garden is now mostly uninhabited.

hank plays out of his mind. surprise.

fire renney chant breaks out at end of 1st period.

someone actually lights a renney doll on fire end of second. the burned carcas gets the largest ovation of the evening.

after game during rennys presser, he uses the words committment, progress and improvement one too many times and someone from this board punches their pet...........

perry pearn looks sharp in his armani suit.

I'm hoping for a win and holding out for a competitive game. I'm tired of getting frustrated and having to walk away from the TV without being able to watch the full 60 minutes.

4-2 win. Callahan with one, Girardi with one, Drury with two. Backstrom with both Washington goals

I wouldn't go that far. I am still hoping (admittedly against hope) that we can pull out of this funk. But even if we don't I can't imagine it gets much worse than losing 10-2 and then getting shut out by Scott Clemmensen so I don't see Renney getting fired any time soon despite it being sorely necessary. If Glen Sather showed up and told me Renney is gone with a loss tonight, I'm throwing on an Ovechkin jersey but since I don't see that happening (and not just Glen randomly showing up, but Renney being fired at all) gotta keep rooting for the boys
