Mathieu Schneider, Niclas Havelid and Marty Reasoner.

With Atlanta looking at yet another last place finish, these are three guys that will be probably be shipping off come trade deadline.

Mathieu Schneider - D:
Age: 39
Contract: Signed this year at 5.6M, UFA at year end.
Current Stats: 4G-13pts in 42gp.
Additional Info:
-1 Stanley Cup Ring
-Extensive playoff experience and success. 10G-53pts in 109gp.
-PPQB

Niclas Havelid - D:
Age: 35
Contract: Signed this year at 2.7M, UFA at year end.
Current Stats: 1G-12pts in 55gp.
Additional Info:
-2 Olympic Gold Medals
-Extensive international experience and some playoff experience.
-Can log a lot of minutes

Marty Reasoner - C:
Age: 31
Contract: Signed this year at 1M, UFA at year end.
Current Stats: 8G-17pts in 53gp.
Additional Info:
-Some playoff experience.

So what do you think these guys are worth? Gouge value, and make proposals based on your teams and what they would be willing to realistically offer.

Slava Kozlov publicly stated last week that he will not be waiving his NTC clause, which he specifically requested in the contract he signed with Atlanta.

He isn't going anywhere.

And to be fair, the Thrashers haven't had a "last place finish" in around 5-6 years. Give us a little credit

Kozlov has a NTC and isn't likely to want to move his family.

I am guessing somebody will give up a 2nd rounder for Schneider(maybe add in a mid level prospect if a bidding war starts happening)

for the sake of arguing i'd say that Slava Kozlov could get a late first round pick if he were traded this year. He is still a viable second line option at his age and is probably the best forward on Atlanta besides Kovalchuk.

Schneider's definitely a goner, but I can't see him getting them all that much in return for him ... 2nd or 3rd wouldn't be a bad return for the Thrash. Can't see Kozlov wanting to bail on the 'Little White Russian' line now though.

Havelid and Reasoner could be on their way out as well as Schnieder, all 3 are UFA at the end of the year. Although I would rather keep Reasoner if possible.

Schneider should get some interest, but having a not so great season thus far may hurt his value. 2nd round pick sounds about right as his reputation will get him that much. If he was having the kind of season he was having a year ago he might have got more, but playing in Atlanta isn't gonna help that much. Either way, it works out for Atlanta as they just more or less bought a 2nd round pick by picking up schneider for magic beans.

Took what you said into consideration, added them into the thread.

I've gotta say though, without Kozlov this thread sucks.

If Phoenix really is in financial trouble like the rumors say, and they are in a spot to make the playoffs, I could see them giving up some prospects or picks for this package. It would give them more experience and depth for the playoff push and hopefully get them into a round of two of playoff hockey and make some money and keep them in PHX. Just a thought.

Honestly, I would be relatively happy with 2 players like this for the Canucks at the deadline. Reasoner is a pretty solid role player I think and has consistently been pretty good on faceoffs. Havelid maybe doesn't have the same offensive skills he used to but certainly is solid in his own end and has some playoff experience from Anaheim's 03 run.

How about Raymond and 3rd?

I can see the Canucks having interest in all three players. Either one of Schneider/Havelid and Reasoner would be solid additions depending on the asking price.

With Gillis not appearing to be willing to move the Canucks' top prospects or 1st round pick these players could be more what Gillis would be targeting.

Schremp could follow Savard's footsteps in that situation. But he's never going to get a chance here and it in the East, so I'd do that deal. I miss Marty.
