You never will. Guy's thinking is an enigma wrapped in a mystery that conceals a fog floating over a swamp where quicksand swallows puny humans like you and me.

I'm in France. I was gonna go to sleep and wake up at 4AM to watch the game, but seeing these lines I think I just won't bother.

Either Carbo knows something we don't or he's simply gone mad. I would opt for the second option.

How does this solve one of our biggest problems: the 2nd defensive pairing?...we're screwed. O'byrne as much as he's been avoiding too many f ups, should be used sparingly if we want a decent breakout (I suppose Boullion is actually good at that since he can skate it up).

But hey, at this point, it'll be entertaining. Note to defencemen...let Carey see the puck. A certain Sheldon will be firing pucks from the blueline and I can just imagine a ping pong fiesta will occur.

One thing that i think has a chance of working is Dandy with "those two". He will get the puck for them, or when Pleky gets it, he will charge the net and take a few D with him (that is if we are talking about good Dandy...or dandy Dandy)

what do you guys think about this:

Gorges - Koivu - Higgins
Laraque - Price - Kovalev
Carbonneau - Lapierre - Kostitsyn
Dandenault - Plekanec - Kostopoulos

Same defensive pairings

Muller

DO IT

The drama in this thread is quite comical to be honest. Our lines were "normal" for the last two weeks and we've gone 2-8 in our last 10 games. As mentioned before, I agree with sitting Sergei. It's about time.

Interesting to note that he's trying Kovalev on left wing.

Higgins at center is another test as we haven't replaced Lang yet.

No real surprise to see Dandenault back in the line-up, although I would have liked to see him on defense. But better him up front than O'Byrne!

I'm wondering if putting Gorges up front has anything to do with his "non-concussion" and the fact that he has one of the worse +/- of the team in recent weeks and by the same token, limit his ice time?

Even his detractors will have to admit that we miss Latendresse!

I think that those lines will be shambled in no time tonight and we'll see more traditional lines throughout the game.

Not the perfect line-up for sure, but to go out and say that crap about Carbonneau is like the pot calling the kettle black if you ask me.

they drew names out of a hat to make the lines.

Maybe Gorges has some hidden offensive talent? He'll score a double hat trick tonight and will proceed to break Gretzky's record for most goals in a season in the games remaining this season. You heard it here first.

Just as a matter of fact...
Is there any other coachs in the NHL who put defenceman in offence position regulary like that?

Good thing you said genious. I would have been very upset with you if you had said genius.

What a joke. Third year as head coach, no real system and continuous pulling lines out of a damn hat. He still doesn't have a clue what he's doing, does he.

You know damn well we didn't have the same lines for 10 straight games.

At this point, I'd live or die with my lines.
Choose 2 top lines, stick with them, maybe a few tweaks here and there from time to time and when injured players come back, but that's it.

You want to split up Kovalev and A.Kost, then just leave them apart.

I'm sick of seeing new lines, and I just don't get how one can come to the conclusion that Gorges/Lappy/Laraque will be an effective 4th line.

I love the interview with Gorges, he basically says no one told him why he's playing forward and how he just saw the lineup posted with him on forward. The guy was one of our best defenceman the first half of the year and he's been struggling and the coaches don't even communicate with him, they instead just toss him on forward even though Bouillon has made him like terrible lately.

If you can't see a system it's more a testament to ignorance rather than observation.

Nearly everything else has been tried. There'd be the same amount of stupid flak if the lines that have failed so miserably in delivering consistency over the last ten games were to remain so.
