all they have to do is put the right players on the plate, but then he makes a fool of himself by stating the Lightning are playing really well lately ! Does he even do any research before spewing this stuff ?
Habs COULD get vinny. How do you go from "Vinny will never sign in montreal" to "montreal has a lot of chance in landing lecavalier" to "vincent wont sign here" to "vincent lecavalier COULD sign here".. What's next? Vincent Lecavalier will not be traded here but will still play for the habs even if he doesn't want to?
Come on folks, lighten up! Just for fun, what would it take to get Vinny here aside from a promise from Jean Beliveau to Lecavalier that he could use his retired #4?
The Bolts need help at every position, maybe at the exception of in goal as Mike Smith has proven to be very capable to take the starter's position. As far as we're concerned, we're deep on the wing at the NHL level and deep on defense in prospects. So here's an attempt, as lame as it may seem:
Ryan O'Byrne, Mathieu Carle or Yannick Weber
PK Subban or Ryan McDonagh
Montreal's first round pick in 2010 (hey, we're holding the draft this year after all)
Perhaps they could include Evgeny Artyukhin coming this way?
The only thing I'm not addressing is their need on defense. For that, their season is pretty much over and they can focus on that this summer through free agency.
