man you guys have a lot of hate in your lives don't you ? this is a post on the internet, try to have fun with these posts rather than bash each other.

i would think that if we would get Vinny and had to package some big names we would definitely be asking for a D comming back.

Eklund still thinks the French Connection is going to Montreal in a blockbuster for Michelle Plasse , Glen Goldup and the Habs 1st rounder in 72 .

Of course the habs can get Vinny if they give the right players.

Habs could get Malkin if they give the right players as well!

Gotta understand EK tries to attract hits...he'll stir things up with big fan bases.

Rarely see rumors involving Columbus,Islanders or nashville

The Bolts need help at every position, maybe at the exception of in goal as Mike Smith has proven to be very capable to take the starter's position. As far as we're concerned, we're deep on the wing at the NHL level and deep on defense in prospects. So here's an attempt, as lame as it may seem:
  • Andrei Kostitsyn
  • Sergei Kostitsyn
  • Tomas Plekanec
  • Ryan O'Byrne, Mathieu Carle or Yannick Weber
  • PK Subban or Ryan McDonagh
  • Montreal's first round pick in 2010 (hey, we're holding the draft this year after all)

Perhaps they could include Evgeny Artyukhin coming this way?

The only thing I'm not addressing is their need on defense. For that, their season is pretty much over and they can focus on that this summer through free agency.

Come on, try it, it's fun...
All of that for Vinny? Who plays next year? Is Perezhogin coming back?

Well in theory, I could also get a supermodel billionaire wife. But I'm not holding my breath on it.

Let's be realistic here.

If Montreal were to have any sniff at Lecavalier, the four players coming back would look something like this:

1) Markov
2) Subban or McDonaugh
3) A Kost
4) Plekanec or Higgins
5) likely a 1st rounder or a couple mid-picks

Someone would come along with Vinny to balance salary (Ranger, Murphy, etc.)

Tampa does not do this deal for less. The guy is a franchise player. The same cannot be said about any of the Habs players above, let alone the prospects.

........ and don't try convincing me Markov is a franchise defenseman.

Just because its entertainment doesn't mean you have to like it?
UFC= entertainment
Figure skating=entertainment
WWE= entertainment
2 girls 1 cup= entertainment

Under this premise, I should like all the above just because its entertainment?

Meh. I thought my comment was clearly tongue in cheek as evidenced by the fact I said something was not funny and then did it myself, but he apparently didn't get it and then proceeded to try to insult me by pointing out the fact that I don't post a lot.
Good burn, I guess.

This is realistic? Markov, Subban, A Kost, Plek, 1st for Vinny? You've got to be kidding me. That's more than Philly gave up for Lindros...

If Gretzky could be traded in his prime, anybody could. And the price would be alot less than you think.

Really? Wow, ground breaking... You know, I bet if any team put "the right players on the plate" for someone else, that team would want to make a trade, too.

Second...
