Habs are pros at making good players bad, and then trading them when they are worthless so that they can become decent players elsewhere.
Which is why nobody should give up on the young guys just yet.

I will forgive the Habs, even if we lose 10-1 tonight only if we have a bench clearing brawl.

Price will be fine one day. Fleury was in this spot, getting torched in front of a terrible D at the same age (actually when he was 22 as well the Pens sucked) and he didn't become terrible. Price is not going to be helped much from this, but everyone acts as if he's some bust because he's had a bad 3 weeks. Before that, the guy was top 10 in the league and now we all want to act like THAT was the fluke and THIS is the real Price? Nah, I find that dubious. But are these the real Habs? Perhaps.

We got too many wins to be able to get Tavares or Hedman

We play like a bottom NHL team since a month ago pretty much...

Price is not playing that well reguardless of the D in front of him, he is sliding all over the place out of position and not locking down rebounds. Halak needs to take over for the next 5 games, Price gotta work on his game.

This team has allowed an average of over 5 goals per game in the past 11 straight. Something is seriously wrong from the coaching all the way out.

Gainey was an absolute idiot to trade Huet last year. Price was thrown to the wolves long before he was ready and he absolutely choked like i have never seen before. It may well have ruined his career in Montreal as he will never hear the end of it as long as he is here. And we all know for sure how fragile of a person he is.

this team doesn't deserve all of us loving irritated fans. 40 + pages and the second period isn't even done and they suck donkey balls

It would be nice if we had an actual system in place. The players look like headless chickens out there - their only tactical system seems to be to suck donkey balls

Is Melanson doing anything to try and get Price back on track...He should be fired immediately, without Price this team is going nowhere anyhow

Exactly.

I think too many here are ready to bash players, or bash Price's non-emotion but the GM shows even less and does even less...in my opinion Gainey should have been gone 2 years ago.

I wouldn't be so quick to define this team's "rock bottom." The Habs are like a crack addict. You think the addict's at rock bottom when he overdoses in a Greyhound bus bathroom, but two weeks later he reaches a new low by blowing some dude in an alley for 45 cents. This is low, but this team can sink lower if they don't get some help.

6-1 I called it.

Now I feel that may have been too conservative.
