Don't be fooled.

In many blowouts the losing team ends up outshooting the winning team because they start to use the tried-and-true pray-shoot-pray-shoot method and the winning team backs off and takes it easy. It doesn't imply quality of play.

I love it, our team is starting to play a bit better... now that it's 7-2 with 3 minutes left. Incredible.

Oh come on you cant be comparing Price to Brodeur and Luongo to Price. I'd take 1/2 of what hey give as opposed to what Price gives on any given night.

Actually if I'm not mistaken Price has 4 NHL games remaining before he becomes waiver eligible. So technically we could send him down...

If Price had a D with people like Robinson, Chelios, Ludiwg, Green, Svoboda, etc. he could be doing Roy things at 21. Instead, he's saddled with crap, forced to return like some white knight after an ankle sprain (remember how bad Higgins looked returning from one 2 years ago?) and then called a bust cause he hasn't performed wonders yet. If he were in Columbus and Mason were in Montreal, it'd be interesting to see the difference. Steve Mason would certainly not have 7 shutouts.

Exactly.

We are so flat footed out there and running around in our own end that it amazing the score isn't worse.

It's not that we're starting to play good, it's just that the Oilers are not giving a **** anymore.

I was a little dismayed when Gauthier tried to kill Gorges and there was no response at all. Seemed eerie.

Then, frankly, they should do it.
