Actually, Kaberle gets paid to move the puck, transition game is his specialty, Powerplay is just a really nice added bonus.

Kaberle should get a similar return from what Boyle got. Imo Boyle is a better dman then Kaberle. But Boyle was traded last summer when his value wasn't even close to what it is now. He missed half of last season with a wrist injury and didn't look as good as he did in the 06-07 season. So Kaberle's trade value should be similar to what Boyle got. As for Kab's salary after his current contract expires...he'll be 2 years older and his production will likely decline slightly. He also doesn't seem to be the type of person who will just take the largest paycheck offered to him. Imo, if his next 2 seasons he gets around 45-55 points each...he'll take a multi-year NTC 4.5-5mil/yr contract, depending on the NHl economy of course. That would seem completely fair to me.

and dont forget he's played with top point getters in the league in TB too ...in Vinnie, and St Louis ...helps your point totals when you play with multiple 100+ point players
