Thanks.
The Rangers website conveniently labels everything as "W", even if it was a SO win.

Yes Gomez has been coughing up the puck, but where was the big, small or other size body in front of the Panthers net when he took a shot? He did the right thing by shooting instead of turning it over or just dumping it, but nobody who came up with him was going hard to the net, instead they slowed down after they gained the blueline.

I forgot...Is the NHL draft order like the NFL in that it's based on playoff finish or by regular season point total?

Just curious because I am rooting like heck for all those western teams to win and have a lot of OT games so the Rangers can draft in the top 15.

He's got a shot, but he's only on pace for 59 starts this season. Most Vezina winners play at least 65 games.

I'm not even sure if Tim Thomas will be nominated since he's on pace to play only 51 games. On the other hand Kiprusoff is on pace for 76 games, hard to compare goalies if one plays 25 more games than the other.

Good luck with that.

It figures. Lundqvist, gets the win after playing average vs Washington. He put's on a absolute show in Florida, and he loses the game.

I don't think it went in. The Rangers players in the shootout didn't look so comfortable handling the puck. I don't if anyone else noticed that but to me, that's what it looked like. I'm not trying to make excuses because Florida played a real good game. With that said, I hate their ice surface more than any other team's. Last time around it was alot bumpier. All in all they have some real good offensive players with Horton, Boothe, Weiss and most of all I really like Bouwmeester. Philly next. lgr!

Where I saw the puck resting it looked like when he came to a stop he and the puck wouldve both been in the net. Its a moot point now though.

Bottom 5 teams have a random lottery to determine the order of 1-5. Then 6-29 are based on final regular season standings. #30 goes to the Stanley Cup winner.

I thought more teams were involved in the lottery, but couldn't advance more than 4 spots, which is why only the worst 5 teams compete for the #1 pick.... could be wrong though.

Every team that doesn't make the postseason is in the lottery, with different weights...but yeah, they can only move up 4 spots.

Don't let the result of a skills competition change your perception of the game. We played pretty well, but our lack of a sniper(s) did us in. We are 9-4 in the shootout, the luck is eventually going to go against us. And you know what? I don't care because shootout wins feel VERY illegitimate to me. Points are points, sure, and it's the same for every team, but I just don't get excited about SO wins. The whole league is illegitimate.

The more and more i watch this team, the more bad i feel for Lundqvist and the fans.

What a terrible waste of a great goaltender.

I hope for all of our sakes they can get the right sqaud out there in the next 5-7 years for him. Because when he's through his prime its gonna be tough looking back and wondering "What If"...

I saw a team fighting to win tonight. They looked passionate, Our big guys didnt score, but neither did theirs.

A point on the road is something of a success. Something to build on. Well done.

A couple of things that stood out to me....

I hope Voros is being shopped. At the very least, his ice time with Zherdev and Dubi should end. Unless hes literally parked ontop of goaltender he's not so effective. Our most creative offensive player , Niko, deserves a better linemate. Prucha would do for me.

Should have put Freddie in the shootout. He had some mojo tonight.

That guy Booth always stands out to me.... skills

Boumeester is HUGE

Lundqvist is the real deal

The guy is everything this team needs. He is the one player that would single handily fix half of our problems

If Lundqvist didnt stand on his head..would that really matter? Our guys can "try" all they want, but if your not getting results, except from the damn 4th line then something is wrong. But we knew that already.

Lundqvist stole us a point, plain and simple. 44 shots against with our awesome defensive system?

I saw a team that was dominated for about 2/3, maybe 3/5 of the game. I saw a team that would have lost badly if it wasn't for Lundqvist, who once again absolutely stole the Rangers a point that they in no way deserved.
