Visiting teams hotel

Hi all, I'm new here. I'm a die hard Av's fan, and my father is a lifetime rangers fan. The av's finally come to the east coast in a couple weeks so we scored tix. We're looking to possibly get autographs, and meet players of both teams. Any suggestions such as where visiting teams usually stay?

it is a noon time game, so i doubt there will be a pregame morning skate...hopefully i'm wrong!

Our schedule says its a 7:00 game. And its a Saturday, so I doubt they'd change it to Noon.

Nah. Doubt that one. They have the Affinia or whatever its called and the Penn Hotel both right across the street. I'd say either of those would be more likely. Could be wrong though.

In the past, they've stayed at an Affinia at 34th between third and Lex. I forget the exact name of the hotel, but there's only one on the South side there. But I don't think that's the only place at which they stay. Thought I heard the Hotel Penn. in the past too.

I broadcast Hockey games from the UWMA in 1973-75. I got in trouble once for saying that it looked like they had the war right at the memorial.

Go to the side driveway entrance of the garden 2 hours beforehand...that is where the Avs and Rangers will enter....a lot of the Rangers will sign autographs if you have a sign or something or look eager (there isnt a lot of fans waiting around there).

Im sure the Avs will do the same, they usually park their bus right at that entrance.

Maybe he wants to go to the Avs morning skate which will be at the Garden. However, yes, it is also not open to the public. But if he wanted to get them coming out of there or something.
