Top three should always be Richard, Béliveau, Lafleur.

Go on from there.

The top 3 are pretty obvious

M. Richard
Beliveau
LaFleur

The next few are a tossup between Plante, Harvey, Morenz, Roy & Gainey IMO. It's hard to compare players from different era's. How do you compare Roy to Dryden to Plante? They all are amazing goaltenders but you can't go by cups or GAA or sv% since they all were in different circumstances. Honourable mentions to Robinson, Savard, Dryden & Cournoyer.

Jean Beliveau is an overrated player.

He was weak for a man his size, and used to play dirty but hide behind Ferguson when it was time to pay.

Overrated as it gets teach1

Lafleur was better at the game of hockey, but gros Bill was a capt'n and is still recognize today as the greatest gentlemen who ever played the game. Personnaly i think Lafleur was more important to the team than Jean.

Lafleur.

The three first choices are characters that were so much more than hockey players.

Kovalev is default number one, he doesn't have to be mentioned.

You're probably joking right ? Do they have a 'report stupid post' function here ?

Jean Beliveau did have a weak heart though.

this isn't a "who had the most impact on the game" poll. Harvey absolutely revolutionized the way defensemen played the game, and is only behind Orr for best defenseman of all time IMO, but is he a better Hab than LaFleur? I'd put him right after LaFleur. He's got 2 Hart's and a Conn Smythe on Harvey, both trophies that any position can win (unlike Norris & Art Ross) but LaFleur was the MVP player (in an expanded league with more competition) 2 years in a row.
