perhaps we all missed each others point. the point i was trying to make but did a horrible job at doing was any talk of getting thronton is foolish and the best package the rangers can come up with would do more harm than good. the rangers should stay the course and learn from the mistakes of the past. if the rangers in 1991 were in the shape they are in now it would've foolish to get mark messier. trading for a superstar at this point makes zero sense the rangers need to build a team first.
