That school of though is simply not true when it comes to goaltending the Olympics.

Wow. People bashing Price and his chances of playing in the olympics because of a current slump. He'll get over it and soon you'll question why Price isn't there if he doesn't make it. After a few wins, those bashing him will be praising him.

The best "young" goalie at the time was Luongo at 24 years of age. kid? Perhaps not. but that would be splitting hairs. Price will be 22 this summer. Mason will be 21 in May

I still believe that all things considered they look towards the younger end of the spectrum for spot 3

Exactly right. too many folks sing the praises of a player one month and cut him to ribbons in the next

Price has talent and plays a position that experience and maturity favours. Not too many guys start great and stay that way the first few years

looking from a different perspective, take a guy like Fleury. started out with a bang. But he also struck me as a guy who made too many desperation saves with no regard for rebound control or position after the save. he may well learn to play better but I don't see it yet.

Price and Mason still impress me as the most talented guys to come up out of Jr in the last 4 or 5 years.

You remind me of JC Lajoie when he said he could easily name 20 players in the 2003 draft picked after Andrei Kostitsyn that he would have draft before him.

You're probably that kind of dude that think that Carey Price is awful and shouldnt play in the NHL, even if his stats are better then Osgood, Gigučre and Kipprusof. Do something, get a rope.

Statistically, he may have a point.... so I wouldn't laugh too hard

If Price weren't a Hab, not many here would be mentioning his name with "Elite" goaltenders.

15-
1. Granted.
2. Granted.
3. Granted.
4. On the cusp here, Giguere has been horrible since his father died but has accomplished more than Price.
5. A wash.
6. LOL.
7. DOUBLE LOLZ.
8. ROFLMAO
9. Right now yes, Steve Mason is playing better than Price. Looks like his clone, actually.
10. A hot streak does not a career make. No.
11. For two seasons Jose Theodore was one of the better goalies in the game. He is not anymore. No go.
12. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA.
13. No.
14. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA.
15. No.

Cam Ward 1 Stanley Cup = The whole Montreal team NONE
You are right , a hot streak does not make a career as we are finding out with Price .
Biron totally outplayed Wonder boy head to head and was the #1 reason the Flyers made short work of us .
