Michel Therrien FIRED!

If they lose tomorrow, then Tom Renney is next.

Paul Mara popped his right shoulder out in the fight with Arron Asham in the third period and did not make the trip to St. Louis. He said it will take a few days for the swelling to go down before the injury can be diagnosed. It looked pretty bad, though. Mara praised Asham for his sportsmanship; Asham stopped fighting when he realized Mara was hurt.
Quote:
Renney had planned to play Steve Valiquette in St. Louis tomorrow, but he said part of his thinking for pulling Lundqvist was that he likely will go back to his No. 1 goalie tomorrow.

He should be gone already. I am tired of saying that if we lose the next one he will be gone.

I have this feeling that if we don't win the next 2 games against the Islanders and Blues, they'll be changes. They can't afford to lose against 2 of the worst teams in the NHL.

If that was his thinking at that moment of the 2nd period he should be fired. What an silly thing to say. That cant be true

I don't care if they're one of the worst teams in the league. I fully expect St. Louis to dominate every aspect of the game tomorrow. But I also think the Rangers are going to get the shootout win in this one.

My heart and brain are screaming in conflict. Brain says "win win win", but heart says "loss loss loss". After what happened on le holy peacock, I'm pretty sure my heart may be winning this argument.

The team better prove that wrong.

I'm on record in like 10 threads for saying that I don't think we will make the playoffs, that I want Renney/Sather fired, and that I want to rebuild desperately at the deadline. That said, I am still rooting for this team to win and turn it around. I have absolutely no confidence in them to do that (for the record, the last bit of faith I had in this team skated away as fast as Mike Richards right through our stationary point men to score a 3 on 5 goal) but I can't bring myself to root against them, even if it will help along the changes I want. Even if it will get us nowhere, I really, really want this team to prove me wrong, but I feel like most of us care more than the team unfortunately.

I wouldn't let the standings and point totals warp the realities of this game. The Blues are playing miles better than the Rangers right now, play in a tougher conference, have way more offensive depth with McDonald back, and are playing in front of the one of hottest goalies in the NHL in Chris Mason.

Finally we get to be the ones playing the second day of back to back days while the other team was off yesterday. It was obviously a huge advantage for the Flyers, Panthers, Stars, and all the other teams who recently were on the second night while we were rested.

This will be the first game in years that I actively will avoid to watch. I have better things to do than watch grown men embarrass themselves for 3 hours. Like sleeping for example.

Screw this parody called a hockey season. Screw these overpaid losers that call themselves professional hockey players. Screw this joke of a franchise, starting with the GM and down. Screw them all.

Damn you and the horse you rode in on.

As for those who will actually have the stomach to watch the debacle tonight, I guess the best you can hope for is a shootout win, with like 1-1 after OT. Yes, we might actually score a goal, deflected off some skate or something. St Louis will score their goal on one of our 5 on 3 PP's on a breakaway.
