Will Gainey ACTUALLY do something?

I know we all WANT some sort of deal to happen, but with BG how likely is it that it'll actually happen? In the past we've wanted big deals to happen (Hossa, Lecavalier) but it never happened, why would this year be any different?

Gainey won't get fired but I think Carbs might be on the way out, the habs have to much talent to be playing the way they are, they just aren't playing for Guy anymore. I love what Gainey has done so far, bringing in Tanguay and Lang, can't blame him for the injuries. I love Carbonneau but it seems in situations like this there needs to be a big change to turn things around, and it usually starts with the head coach.

Who would want to trade for any of the Habs players? It would only make their team worse.

I would love to see an offensive minded coach with a good defensive minded assistant and a real defense coach on this team....it could work.

Keep Muller, and get rid of the rest.

Maybe even make Kirk interm, I think these players would play for Captain Kirk.

I don't think he has the testicular fortitude to do anything significant.

Maybe trade Lapierre for another washed up Fin Dman.

Habs need to shake there defence quite a bit ... Markov is not playing well lately. Would there be a way for us to acquire JayBo with a deal centered arround Markov.?

Our best D-man for a pending UFA? I'm pretty sure Florida wouldn't object.

There are easier ways to gut a team.

you guys need to keep in mind that every GM in the league knows Gainey has a ton of pressure to make something happen right now. they're not stupid, they'll ask the farm from Gainey to give anything up to him.

Not necessarily taking about a 1 for 1 deal here, but there are some interesting asset in Florida as well.

I suggest he come down to the bench for a few games. He should have done it sooner, but...

No need to fire Carbo, just give him some support. Like has been stated- the game plan has to be sound. No way that shoddy planning would have been tolerated this long. The execution is lacking. Find out why and act accordingly.

Experts have been saying any trade for JBO will have to be a 24-48 negotiation period to sign him first. No one is trading big like Pens did for Hossa and get screwed over.

I would trade Markov for JBO and people who object are crazy because the trade opens the money to pay the guy and he is only 25 and we would have a crazy top pairing of big men in Komisarek and JBO.

Hopefully Gainey knew the deficiencies of this team for a long period of time, not just now.

you serious? he might as well fire Carbo then because all his players will now think he is completely inept for the job, even if they might have not thought it before.
