Taylor Pyatt

So i was wondering, does Taylor Pyatt have any value? If he does what would your team offer him they wanted him.

Why trade him? His value probably isn't that high right now and he's looked pretty good recently on the 3rd line.

His value is highest on the team he's with right now. No one will go out of their way to deal for him.

4th rounder at least? depends what the other team's needs are. would most teams that are in a playoff spot in need of a big body? that can play on your top line and checking line?

The Canucks won't trade him for picks, it is good to have depth.

players like Pyatt are worth about a 4th round pick... he's a depth rental player.

but such players only get moved if they are on non-playoff teams. Pyatt will not get moved unless the canucks are sellers at the deadline... and if they are, shouldn't expect anything more than a 4th round pick in return for him.

Unless the Canucks need to clear bodies for some big deadline splash, they aren't going to move Pyatt. His trade value is negligible (5th or 6th at best IMHO), while his value to the Canucks is pretty high, considering his versatility and his solid play of late.

Maybe if the Canucks go out and get Guerin or something... but even then, I see a guy like Raymond going out first (because his trade value is higher) or Hansen being banished to the minors again (moreso because of the numbers game than anything else).

but i think i rather keep pyatt for the playoffs. depth is key for any team that is hit by the injury bug and those "depth players can fill in those key roles. you never know. ala buffalo 3yrs ago their defense was decimated by injuries and they had to use 6th 7th 8th dman off their charts to fill the top 4's guys mins. same can be said for the forward postion.

Taylor Pyatt's really underrated by people I think. He would be quite useful for the playoffs; he's definitely one of the more versatile forwards on the Canucks. I don't see why Vancouver trades him, barring some kind of overpayment obviously.
