the oppisition would be in love with your D as well then....
really, there that bad? I was considering putting lashoff on third pairing put he is a former first and i thought he could use the icetime. But i guess you watch them every game and know more about them than i do. Do you think they could be 2nd pairing D-man down the road?

I don't think either of them are bad really, but Lashoff just hasn't shown much of what Boston is looking for. Right now, I wouldn't put Lashoff as anything more than a 3rd pairing D-man, but in a year or 2 I could see him as a top 4 D-man who can get top PP minutes. Hunwicvk has played pretty well all season and some games is one of our best D-men.
I wouldn't say we'd be happy with any prospect. Any prospect with good upside yeah maybe. But there are a lot of prospects that don't project to do anything past a 4th line role or bottom pairing dman. We have enough of those. I'm not talking about Bruins prospects at all in this comment just replying to this post.
Yes and he looks like he's completely recovered from that eye injury. He had 44 points in 32 games last year, and 14 in 10 games this year. But there is a lot of concern he's never going to come to North America. There is an entire thread about this on the Bruins Board.
Really I wasn't aware there was a problem getting him over. That really decreases his value to the trade. The leafs really can't afford that kind of gamble. It's too bad he looks like he could be a good one.

Those are usually the games when he's not a healthy scratch.

HFBoards rates him a 7.0F...
Some believe Boston Bruins GM Peter Chiarelli is trying to get him signed to an extension, bring him to North America to finish the year out in The AHL with Providence, have him come to camp in 2009 and earn a spot on the top-9 as a winger.
So far, Carl has shown a lot of loyalty to his home team, and as of now shows no sign of coming over. IMO, he's trade value is next to none.
Or the games where he's better than WIdeman and Ward.
Take your pick, can't go wrong with either on.
Ward's been hurt, and Hunwick couldn't carry Wideman's skates to the rink right now. They're not even in the same league lately.
Hunwick was very good early in the year, but since the calendar turned to 2009 he's got 0 points and is a -5...ouch. He's still a kid and should carve out a decent NHL career, but if you're getting scratched in favor of Shane Hnidy, then you're not better than Dennis Widman.

They must have literally just upgraded the site. He was a 7.0 C yesterday if I remember correctly.
