Me and my friend have new game watching tradition, everytime someone who is being paid alot of money does something stupid or nothing we yell out "MORE MONEY HERE FOR THIS GUY!" and take a drink. we got pretty drunk on sunday, hopefully it wont be the case tonight.

Actually, it's made them worse because now they've come to rely on the shooutout using their signature "play not to lose" system.
What's funny is that they haven't even been good in the shootouts lately... and now they're being exposed as the team they really are.
This is a great description. Also, I agree with a few of you in saying a shootout win is unacceptable. I can't believe I went from so excited about this group at the beginning of the season to the way I am now, and I'm sure you're all in the same boat. As soon as Vali blew that game against Toronto back in November, I lost faith and I knew this would happen. Also, looking back the preseason and their one win (and, if anybody recalls, they scored TWO goals in every game) foreshadowed the hell out of where they are now. Aside from a huge trade, losing Redden, Renney, or Sather, or a sudden offensive explosion every game, there's really nothing that can make me excited to watch them again. And that sucks to say when I've been watching this team since I was 8 years old.

Another night of torture... (it's 1 AM here)

I'll still make a couple of bold predictions:

Rangers will win it in regulation, and Drury will score

Judging by your reaction to that game I think it would be correct to say "after the Rangers blew the lead." If it were just Vali playing poorly it'd be chalked up as a bad game from your backup.

I think it showed us how many holes this team has, and how poorly they can look when a team executes.

wow, check out the Drury/Gomez postgame (post-Dallas 10-2 loss, that is) interview on Rangers On Demand

Drury looks like a depressed emo kid wanting to slit his wrists.

Nice "stay the course" speech by Tom in the preview. What course is that Tom, the one where this team ends up in 9th place soon, or you follow the Pens coach to the unemployment line..

Has Gomez been working on his shot? That was a rocket, just like one or two last game. I never saw him do that til lately. Not saying perfect, but at least it was what could be called a shot.

How does Dawes earn the benching? The guy has been the only player getting shots lately.

Dammit...I hate seeing Korpikoski at center. His game is so much more suited for LW.

That's Renney's problem...no matter how miserably his system is failing, he and the terrible staff refuse to alter the game plan. That should be his downfall.
