Kovalev not training today, is told by team to sit out next two games

Albeit Kovalev suffers no physical injury, he didn't practice today, suggesting he won't be part of the trip. I can't wait to see how this team will respond to the absence of Kovalev. Still, the roster doesn't look good with all those injuried players.

He's probably injured, but whatever sales paper, right?

So we don't have our top LW or our top RW.

Injured during practice... I highly doubt that...

Sigh.

The article says nothing about Kovy missing the trip.

Ten to one it's a therapy day.

Not too bad actually. I like those. Not quite sure why Higgins is RW while D'Agostini is a LW, but the rest looks good.

Maybe a trade?

Well, I doubt about it. I'm sure Kovy is fine, so no injury in his case.

And I can't see how a player could miss a practice during this slump so it's certainly not to have a little rest.

So, it's a bit of confusing.

wow dude, learn how to translate.

Higgins and Komi skipped practice the other day, i guess they were about to be left aside as well.

Anybody consider that his absence means absolutely NOTHING! He could just be resting. Carbo often gives him days off.

it says he doesn't know if he's injured. At least, it's what it means.

Remember when we were raving about 3 offensive lines? Now we have two guys that were in the AHL in our top 6. Bottom 6 either in ahl or sharing time on the 4th line/pressbox. Things sure are quite different.

I hope he has been traded. He's floating around and doesn't create anything.

MaxPac or Koivu could, but Kovalev has barely sweat in the last week...

That only means that some, not all, of la Presse's journalists are not whatever-sells-papers sensationalists. This is the paper that employs Rejean Tremblay, after all.

Considering that they have at least one reporter with a "Kovalev is the root of all evil" type agenda, they'd write something like this. If Koivu missed practice, I doubt you'd see a peep about suspicions.
