He should ask himself one thing: Why does Tom does not get scratched, yet I am?

And this is not to pile it on Steve, because I like him.

So you're saying Carbonneau doesn't even know where his own players are from?

People are always complaining that Guy Carbonneau doesn't talk.

When I was at school, I didnt need my teacher to talk to me in private every days ! If I had something I didn't understand, I went at him by myself.

Is it that much different ? They are big kids...

If he'd stop shooting the puck everytime the moment he gains the zone maybe he'd play more

Bye bye Begin. I guess he forgot he's a -6. He doesn't play often and manages to be one of our worst +/-.

I think that Carboneau still holds a grudge against Begin for ruining their chance in making the playoffs two years ago. It was the last game of the year, against the maple leafs, he took a stupid double minor penalty in which toronto scored twice on the ensuing powerplays. If we would have won that game we would have made the playoffs.

I've always loved Begin but he's brought very little to the table this year. Really lost a step, badly timed penalties. The sad fact is the Habs have a desperate need for grit and he still can't find a role.

But when the 4th liner says he can't figure out his role, you know the whole team's in flames. And the coach is in trouble.

It is nothing but a mess of negativity surrounding the Habs right now...So much for the 100th year celebration season...

The 100th season celebration as been disastrous and totally embarrassing..I think the pressure of the 100th season hype as made everyone crack...

Yes! The entire point of scratching someone is to send a message so they fix their game. See case and point: Kovalev.

If you keep scratching someone and not telling them why... It's fine. Even he said in the interview, he wasn't as upset earlier this year because it was a numbers game. He knew it wasn't his fault, it was just that he didn't make the Top 12. Now, they're calling guys from the minors to replace him and not telling him why.

He shouldn't be *****ing and RDS is portraying this laughably, but if Carbo truly won't even talk to a player and explain what he needs to improve... That's not coaching.

Dictionary.com "Coaching:" A person who trains or directs athletes or athletic team.

Note DIRECTS.

We'll know in the next game or two if all of this has any effect on the team. Two supposed problems are now out of the way, three if you include O'Byrne.

Gainey cleaned the slate as much as possible for his coach. As I said, if this frees the team of its distractions and they start playing well, then I owe Carbo an apology. If it doesn't... you can only get rid of so many players before looking at other options for change

WOW you people astound me. Begin has sacrificed himself year after year for us and has been the heart and soul of our grind line forever. How can you sell Begin down the river. Although I agree that we have the talent to replace him but the guy bleeds for us. He belongs right along Saku for biggest hearts on the team.

If he truely went at Carbonneau and he didn't answer him , then Carbonneau is really an idiot. But to say Carbonneau is bad because he doesn't invite his players to talk to them for the 'why' they are scratched... it's stupid too.
