We forced a lot of turnovers from our forecheck, that's how I want this team to play constantly. We could have used Begin tonight, he would have fit in nicely. Oh well, great game to watch, good night folks.

uggghh enough of markov in the shootout! every goalie knows his move...and he can't do anything else if he tries.

anyway solid game by the boys, happy with the effort, we could have put this one away late in the third but way it goes. we're looking better right now.

Stopped 0 out of 2 shots. He should of had the first at least.

It's the story of the game though, he stood on his head and saved his team in regulation, not so much in s.o.

I'll take the point. Considering how we played last couple of months, this game is huge for us

Huge signs of improvement. I'll take it.

Schneider was fine, better than I expected. I think he'll benefit playing with a better team (I think) than Atlanta.

The three Canadiens to fail in the shootout (Price, Markov and Plekanec) played great in regulation, so I can't fault them too much.

Pretty much the story of the game.

Stewart is doing his usual good work.

D'Ags was dangerous.

Bouillon and Komisarek had a horrendous first half of the game.

Pleks did pretty good, save for that crappy shootout move.
Price's confidence is still rocked...but at least this is the kind of game he can work on.

Very encouraging game.

First of all, this was a TEAM tonight. Everyone pushed in the same direction and they nearly beat one of the 5 best teams in the NHL in a building they dominate in.

Price played his best game in a long time, white pads FTW!

The top 3 lines all played well and had some great shifts. I thought Max Pac-Pleks-Kosty were so much fun to watch out there. Stewart fit in well on that all grinder line.

PP clicked and that's very encouraging.

Schneider was playing like a stud as the game went on. If Hamrlik is out for any length of time, his acquisition will be a huge one.

This was a step forward tonight and something to build on, it's important to keep playing good hockey tomorrow in the 'burgh.

I know it's because Hamrlik was hurt but Schneider played 27 minutes....and a great game on top of that but he's probably a little tired...

Having said that, Chipchura should and will be replaced by Bégin. Don't tell me that Chipchura is better than Bégin.

Great effort by habs tonight, alot of positives. But man oh man, are the Caps scary offensively or what? Ovechkin, Semin, Backstrom, Green...

There's no question that this is a better team than the one we've seen earlier in the road trip.

Way too many grinders as it is. Begin, Laraque, Dandenault, Kostopoulos, Stewart, Lapierre, Chipchura. That's just too much.

Looks like the habs tried to buckle down and sit back defensively in the last few minutes of the game, of course it came and bit them in the ass. Carbo needs to understand that his team isn't capable of Carbo hockey, they need to continue to use their speed and be aggressive.

I hope the team builds on this game despite it ending with a loss. How ironic is it that we won the Colorado game despite getting absolutely outplayed yet play a great game here and lose. Thats hockey for ya.

Kovalev ties the shootout if he's in game! Lol.

But in all seriousness good game team. Great game Schneider! White pads ftw Carey.

Don't want Kovalev back. Trade Dandenault and Laraque for Tanguay and Latendresse and we should be good.

Oh and look for another D to replace Bouillon.

Seriously? Habs have been more lucky this year in stealing games that they should have lost than vice versa.

Anytime you face the Caps at home it's good to get atleast a point out of it.

Good game, very entertaining and a great effort. Slumps tend to break with games like this. Tough loss but obviously they saw results so hopefully it won't be hard to convince them to come with the same effort in Pitt.

Schneider looked great back there, he'll be a very good addition.

Price had a very strong game.

I hope Lats looks at how MaxPac plays. Lats is bigger and more experienced and if he played the same style as MaxPac he would be a HUGE asset to the team going forward.

Higgins, Pleks and A.Kost all played very strong.

Wash is a tough place to pick up points this season and the boys almost had this game won.

For the first time in three weeks I'm looking forward to the next game to see if they can build on this.
