1: I was kidding about wishing the injury. It was simply a segway into discussing how poorly he has been playing.

2: Filthy pirate hooker is from anchorman, as is you stay classy San Diego

3: Hammer hasn't been playing well essentially all year long. He hasn't looked confident at all compared to last year and he never uses his body correctly. He's extremely soft on the puck.

4: Breezer and OB have both been playing better lately.

Had an MRI this morning, tests were negative. Game time decision.

That's good to hear. Hamrlik takes a lot of abuse out there. I was wondering if this would be the one that actually caused him to miss a significant amount of time.

So would I. It would be worth it alone to see WTK's reaction to the reuniting of Dandouillon.

Me too.

Bégin can then play with Chipchura and Laraque, but hopefully won't get more than 5-6 minutes of ice-time.

As per cyberpresse, Hammer is a game-time decision but will most likely play.

+1000

Brisebois is a waste of space. Dandenault is much better defensively than Breezer is. Breezer makes wayyyyyy too many mistakes in his own end. His bonehead plays do very little to help a slumping team. He usually has 3 or 4 giveaways in his own end in EVERY game he plays....keep him out of the lineup....FOREVER!!!!

"All year long" is quite a stretch. I remember he played very well in the first 30 games or so. Was +9 and was very solid defensively. Things went downhill when Oburn started crapping the bed and when Komi got injured which mixed the pairings and didn't help much for his play as he was changing partners on a constant basis.

I think you and I are remember very different version of Hammer. It's very easy to ignore the flaws when the team is successful. Bottom line is that him and Komo have looked shaky all season long. They haven't changed their play 1 bit. Komo actually looked the exact same before the injury. It's very easy to ignore players' performances at the beginning of the year because we assume it's rust and that they'll get back into it. But when the player has looked that way for nearly the entire season, it's not rust anymore. And this is why I think people ignored their play at the beginning of the season.

The problem with Komi is his play with the puck. No confidence, often gets rid of it blindly and causes turnovers and It affects his whole game. He could definately benefit from a defensive coach.

I would agree to a certain amount in regards to Komisarek, he has struggled at certain points and has not been a top 4 dman all year. However aside from a few bad plays Hamrlik is the most solid stay at home D'man we have, hands down, without him we are
sunk, mark my words. If you think losing 6-2 and 7-2 was bad see what happens without Hamrlik.

Pay may attention to Hammer. You're going to start noticing how weak he is on the puck. He almost never makes patient plays. He doesn't pass to his partner. He often tries to force the puck up along the boards through too many players.

You'll see...
