Coat also saw the Rodent Rant your are talking about and he gave me an explanation for the lack of information on Sparta pre-season games.

Apparently, more than half of the team was physically unable to play due to a stomach illness or food poisoning or something similar. I got the impression that one or more preseason games were cancelled - though I'm not 100% certain.
