Thats right guys, I think that suspension made him grow a pair. In the two games since he was suspended he has 4 points.

He has gotten a taste of being a bad boy, now he's hungry for more...

No more playing like a little girl!

Now all we need to do is to somehow get him involved in this scandal. That should build up his rep around the league a little more as well...

And no more anchor?

It is ingrained in Plekanec's DNA to pass the puck to Kovalev. He trusts him completely, and when Kovalev is playing like garbage, Plekanec will sturggle.

The last two games he has trusted his own skill, used both line mates for once, and shot the puck.

The guy has looked amazing since his return. Hope he can keep it up and we'll start winning some games.

Plekanec's line has been great since he came back from the suspension...can't wait for Carbo to break it up!

Also, when Tanguay comes back, we should put him with Kovy with Saku, that would be a bonafide number one on any team, something we haven't had for a while.

Send Dagger back to Hamilton (his game is extremely one dimensional...speed + a wrister is all he has right now) and play Higgins with Laps and Lats (I expect Lats back not too much later than Tanguay).

Tanguay-Koivu-Kovalev
MaxPac-Plekanec-AK46
Higgins-Lapierre-Lats
Kostop-Chipchura-Stewart
Begin
Laraque

and i don't think it has anything to do with Kovy being out, i think it has to do with confidence. he is now back in a groove, as is Kosty sr

i would rather have Dags than Kosto, he has been making alot of mistakes lately, but that can be blamed on Carbs giving him WAY too much ice time !

Kostop brings something this team absolutely needs and does not have much of elsewhere, same for Stewart. Only way Dagger gets sent down is when Tanguay and Kovalev come back, which would in turn would mean less ice-time for the kostop line, so no need to worry!

So the Pleks line can't be change, and Kovalev doesn't work well with Koivu so who's left? Kovalev needs to play with Lapierre.

Are you out of your mind? Putting all your best players on a line and make it your first line? And a real 2nd line? With no grinder? Let me remind you Carbo is still the coach of this team.

definitely been playing better last 2 games. he's shooting, getting more involved in the play...I wonder if it was the benching or the lack of kovalev on his line.

Like two years ago, he's playing better when a disinterested Kovalev is taken off his line... coincidence? I think not!
