Yeah. Everyone will leave as a UFA and no one will sign here in the off-season to fill the voids, leaving us some 20 million under the cap. Talk about alarmist. Yes some will be gone when 10 UFAs are on the way to July 1, but everyone assumes we'll lose ALL our good players become of the usual media crap and a scandal involving just 3 guys? Calm is in order.

We sign Bouwmeester with a big long term contract, Sundin for one year, resign Dandenault one year and hopefully Schneider for one more year, roster will look like:

Pacioretty - Sundin - A.Kost
Higgins - Plekanec - D'agostini
Latendresse - Lapierre - S.Kost
Stewart - Chipchura - Laraque
Dandenault

Markov - Bouwmeester
Hamrlik - Gorges
Schneider - Subban
O'Byrne

Price - Halak

Komi would look great in Philly. They could really use him.

This recent "media circus" (even if it is true probably didnt need to be brought out the way it was ) could have been dealt with much different.

Due to this week , i truly believe odds greatly improve of us saying goodbye to
Mike Komisarek AND who the hell can blame him now?

Lets put ourselves in a UFA shoes today.
How do we think he is feeling? I know how i would be thinking thats for sure , I DONT NEED THIS , and am i next? how do you know because the same guys making attacks today are still there to make the same attacks AGAIN and history shows they will.

I cant blame anyone wanting out or asking for a trade now. As a fan of this team i feel angry how its being needlessly ripped apart and targeted against year after year for just a "benefit" of a few so called Journalists. There has to come a time where enough is enough and hopefully we very near it.
The worse part is come July 1st, all the same media idiot will claim that Bob Gainey isn't working hard enough to sign UFA and they'll blame only Gainey and when some fan will tell them that they have/has/had an impact on the UFA decision, they will deny it !!! Once again!!!

If you think players always win over coach, think about how media always win over the team!

I'm sick and tired of all that sensasionnalism "journalism", these guys (Tremblay, De Foy, Gagnon,...) should be working in LA, report on Hollywood stars, that way,m they can be true paparazy

I agree, Habs have to grab Lecavalier. It's time to change the face of this team. The Koivu Era must end, It is time for something else! The Habs have a better destiny that this...

Do it Bob God dammit!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Any UFA who will garner interest from other teams is as good as gone. This is a true shame and gives me a sick feeling in the pit of my stomach.

LOL. I guess we wouldn't miss the entire team then, minus a few 4th line grinders.

Brilliant.

He's not going anywhere. I also think that he's not going to be signed for 4.5 million dollars.

Yes, Komi won't resign. None of our UFA won't resign, none of the other upcoming UFAs throughout the league won't sign here.

We're gonna be forced to close the team down because nobody will ever want to sign here.

We've seen enough drama over the past couple days, no need to continue in that direction.
Come Saturday, the players will be back home and enjoy the hometown cheers as we lay the beatdown on Ottawa. All will be forgotten.

Komi will resign here, there is no doubt in my mind.

I was hoping that this was sarcastic, but given the time put into the post I just don't see it.

WE ARE NOT GOING TO LAND ANY TOP FLIGHT FREE AGENTS. GET IT THROUGH YOUR HEAD. I DON'T WANT A SUMMER OF BOUWMEESTER THIS, BOUWMEESTER THAT... HE'S NOT COMING HERE. CLEAR?

Recent events could also be what brings this team together.

"Real" friends are what's needed now.

Straighten up and fly right. Lesson learned....scared straight....whatever.

Kovy's coming back.....and he's happy to be back.

We need to rally as a team....and we fans have to be behind them.

I heard Gainey speak today....what a calm voice through the storm.

GO HABS GO

--Of course, that's IF there aren't more layers to this onion. Gotta wait to see if the police tapes reveal further/deeper involvement.

Komisarek is staying, I'm willing to bet my house on it.

Why would he decide to abandon the CH for events that are out of his control. I would go even further and say what the heck were Hamirlik, and the K's thinking talking to a member of organized crime, they had what was coming damnit, why would Komisarek CARE. AT ALL.

Sigh.

Komi wont resign? No big loss as far as I'm concerned. He may be good at hitting and blocking shots but he has zero offense and most of his outlet passes end up on opponents' sticks. He'll be much too costly for what he's worth.

The reason he cares is because the next time the clowns on Antichambre and 110% decide to lie or blow something out of proportion, he could be their next target. After being here and witnessing this insanity for so long, players clue in and say enough is enough....I can have a better quality of life somewhere else and in privacy.

I really don't think he does! He was NOT happy last year, and has looked content this year when in the lineup, but I am thinking he would rather go to some other city where wearing the "C" is not such a burden. I wouldn't blame him. This is a sad sad ****ing season........and I don't think it is going to get any better. I wouldn't be surprised at all to see the team miss the playoffs.
