Does this really have to be asked? Hasn't these 3 been talked about to death on this board, all season long?

Depends when you trade them:

Rozsival: If he starts to play well you could get a good prospect/picks but your going to have to wait till the end of the season, or more likely next years deadline.

Gomez: He's most likely not going to be a deadline guy, but I could see a team who strikes out in free agency (Edm, Van) making an offer for him. Most likely he would return a good young NHL player/ prospect/ and a pick. The best time to trade him would possibly be after 09-10 season.

Drury: I'm not sure you can trade him till at least after 10-11 season. Maybe a team who feels there missing one last piece would make an offer but they'd have to have loads of space.

They aren't worth anything to the Kings, which is one of the few teams with enough cap space to accommodate them.

(Not #1 Center well, but he's not being paid like one, so we can live with it. )

And besides, if we were to trade one of the two newcomers, Huselius would probably be the more likely - his salary is higher ($4.75 as opposed to $3.75), and he's older.
I would be happy with Modin and 2nd rd pick for Gomez. I would assume you guys would rather give him up than Huselius.

I already responded to this possibility - when brought up by you, even - in another thread..

Rehash for anybody else coming along who doesn't want to follow the link - Modin "doesn't count" because his contract expires next year, before all the signings we have to do.

Thanks, Howson, for cleaning up MacLean's toxic waste. Welcome, Kekalainen; let's get good things built!

Fair enough. But even though I'm a huge Gomez detractor, I still think he'd be a good fit on that team, and if all you had to give up was Modin and a 2nd, I think that's a very good deal for them, even it means finding other ways to make the signings work.

You don't really lose much from the roster.

Oh, I agree, it'd be nice if it were possible to make it work. Personally, tho, I'm just not convinced it is.

Too bad, really.
