MA Bourdon with 2 assists including the primary on Jordan Caron's OT winner. Rimouski beats Baie-Comeau 5-4.

I am in an arguement and want your guys opinion.

If you have the 1st or 2nd overall pick in this years draft....would you trade it for JVR?

Tavares and Hedman are heads above JVR, unfortunately.

I think their potentials are about the same, 100-pt forward/Franchise D-man. But I would be much more comfortable with JT in our system than JVR, I think he's more of a sure thing and will most likely contribute faster. Taveras is also a much better goalscorer than JVR, while JVR MIGHT have the edge playmaking-wise, but I'm really just going by what I know about them, haven't seen enough of them (I don't judge a player by the WJC's alone like many on this site do). JVR obviously has the size advantage, but until he uses his size to be physical, it limits his effectiveness on the ice.

And considering the Flyers forward/defensive depth, I'd trade JVR for Hedman in an instant, cause it immediately fills the teams need.

So to answer the question, no, I probably would not trade away the 1/2 pick for JVR, just not worth the slighty higher risk that JVR has over JT/Hedman

He just scored shorthanded (I think that is his 2nd SHG this year) 1-0 UNH about 3 minutes in

Whomever gets the 1st or 2nd this year wins hands down. I like JVR but I would trade in in a heartbeat for the #1 or #2 pick this year.

Hell, I'd trade JVR and our 1st this year for the #1 or #2 pick, those 2 guys are that valuable.

Thanks for the heads up! I wouldn't have switched Sportsnet on in a million.

JVR is a man amongst boys out there -- very easy to pick him out of the crowd.

They've had JVR playing at the point a lot tonight on the PP. That is a bit of a change, I am used to seeing him on the wall.

3-0 UNH and they are going on another PP

He's made a few brilliant saves, but then lets in a softie.

Edit: and then almost gets burned on an easy one.

I have seen him do this so much. he makes a good save and then loses his focus amd gives up a softie or 2.

Pretty cool that you get to listen in to the refs on a video review. This rules!

I walked back into the room and thought someone was playing around. That was pretty cool.

I heard that story -- hilarious! I wish some OHL refs were as honest...

Do they show the video reviews all the time or is this unusual?
