By this time our defense will include some of Baranka, Tyutin, Pock, Kondratiev, whoever else we draft/trade sign 08-09 will have a damn good defense - with Montoya most likely in goal you got a great back end. Up front our prospects wont be putting up their potential stats because they will all still be young but you got Balej, Korpikoski, Prucha, Jessiman, Immonen, etc - mix in more guys we draft but take into account not everyone will pan out. By that time we could be like how Ottawa was 2 years or so ago, a good young team. Hopefully, but you cant really gauge anything now. But thats my take.

Wow, I hope every 1 of those prospects is as integral a part of our future as you think they will be.....
But even so, it's not like he mentioned some obscure, random prospects. He named all the gyus that really are expected to make it and play a pretty big role on our team in the future. I don't think it's too far fetched to say we will see guys like Tyutin, Pock, Baranka, Kondratiev, Balej, Jessimen, and obviously Montoya playing for this team in the future.

Hey, you can be patient and still make the playoffs in 2 or 3 years if we play disciplined, intelligent hockey and one of Lundqvist, Blackburn or Montoya step up and give us a goalie who can steal some games.
Not saying it's going to happen, just that it can happen even when you don't go for the quick fixes.

I'm going to be patient regardless of how long it takes us to make the playoffs. I've been patient my whole life with this team, i just never saw them going in the right direction until now. I believe if this team plays hard everynight, and comes together with some sort of chemistry....they can make the playoffs in 2006

But I doubt it.
I'm just hoping, atleast for next season, that pure hard work, night in and night out, will get us a few low scoring wins. We have a roster full of hard working, gritty kids right now.
