Kapanen hasn't been quite the "heart and soul" of this team, but he's definitely one of the toughest guys in the league. That's not an understatement. Remember that controversial hit by Tucker last spring. Kapanen managed to make it to the bench and the Flyers went on to score the series winning goal very shortly thereafter. He's also a great defensive forward and is capable of putting up 30-40 points.

i wouldn't say he made it to the bench, i remember him being dragged over it...but kudos to him for getting up so the flyers could get that goal.

i've always liked him, nice to see him stick after that bad year in Carolina.

Yeah that took A WHole lot of guts to try and skate when the birds were chirping... a lot of my Leaf buddies laugh about the Kapanen hit, but it was that shift that ended their chances for their 14th stanley cup. Kapanen definately has a bunch of courage. He was getting HAMMERED in that series consistently, but his play never waivered... not even a shred.

Finally he is getting some good reputation. I love this guy. Always playing for the wrong teams, though.

Kapanen has skill, but it's all about using him right.
