Maybe Zajac for Bouwmeester straight up then?

For a signed JayBo I'd offer Alex Edler, Mason Raymond, 1st round pick and possibly another prospect. But the Panthers aren't trading a signed JayBo, so any deal for him would strictly be seen as a rental. I'd say what Brian Campbell got last year would be a close comparable. JayBo is a better overall defender and younger so he should fetch a bit more. A 1st round pick this year in a deeper draft is arguably worth more than a 1st in last years' draft so I'd say a 1st and a good, young NHL'er is about the most Florida could expect if they are to move him.

Personally I think Florida is probably just going to hang onto him and hope to make the playoffs. If they can't get him re-signed before the draft they'll move him for a conditional draft pick.

This is true. The Panthers are in a playoff hunt and trading their top defenseman is something most teams don't do while in that hunt. I could see the Panthers moving the rights to talk to him for a pick or two.

i think Floridas defensive group is a very solid group and if a capable dman is sent back to florida their defense would be fine and then they would be adding another productive fwd. Boynton Ballard McCabe Allen being your top four after losing JBO is still a solid group. then you add the dman that comes in return in the trade.

Just saying IMO i think Florida would do fine after the trade and still be able to make the playoffs without JBO with the return they would get. I understand Florida really needs to make the playoffs for the good of the club and the fans plus they could really use the extra income from atleast two playoff games. So does the GM really want to risk losing JBO for nothing if he holds on to him past the TD.

Lupul Jones Nodl 3rd for JBO

Lupul adds more scoring weather he is on line one thru three. Jones gives you an offensive 4 or 5 dman that i think could work well with Allen. Nodl is a solid prospect that would be a great winger on a solid defensive line that can score some goals. you get the 3rd rd pick as a guarantee and then maybe an extra conditional pick if JBO resigns in philly.

Thought i d put Florida s Roster up for Reference

I'd rather lose Bouwmeester for nothing than trade him for that package.

why?

Elder is starting to becoming a number 1/2 D man in the league.

Raymond is young, has a scoring touch, has great speeds, he see's the ice well. his D game needs some work, but he is still young.

and a 1st rounder in a deep draft.

Flyers - Lupul, Jones/Carle, JVR, 1st

Note: We'd have to be able to sign him for me to be okay with Holmgren giving this much.
If the flyers do offer this package they would have to be considered frontrunners for JBO, what other team could offer something even close.

Zajac is next to untouchable. He will be Parise's center for a very, very long time.

That's what I've been wondering. What other team could offer the same value without gutting their team?

I'd offer Kessel, as long as conditionals came with Jaybo.
I want Pronger or Jay Bouwmeester at the deadline.
